Detailed description is The University of Colorado Women’s Soccer Club is one of the elite collegiate women soccer clubs in the nation.. . Since 1994, when the NIRSA National Championships began, Colorado ‘Gold’ has played in FIVE National Championship games, winning the National Title THREE times. In addition to their National titles, they have been finalists twice, been to the Final Four three times, and the Elite Eight seven times, making them the only team to get out of pool play all 16 years. They captured the Region V title 13 times, won the CMC tournament two times, the Ed Chartrand Memorial tournament four times, and the CU Invitational six times.. . The Colorado ‘Black’ team was established in 2000, and they too have enjoyed success at the national level. In the ‘Open’ division of the NCCS National Championships they have THREE National Open Championship appearances, winning ONE National Championship, and appearing in the semifinals four times, and the quarterfinals two times. In addition they too have a championship in the CMC Tournament and the CU Invitational.. . This year we are also very happy to continue on with the success of our third team, CU White. They finished their season above .500 and had some great wins against top opponents in and out of Region V. We wish them the best of luck this season as they work to improve upon their very successful season of 2010, and improve to greater things in 2011.. .
