Detailed description is The University of Iowa Fine Arts Council is a nonprofit organization that sponsors and organizes two annual premier art markets held in Iowa City.
Welcome to the University of Iowa Fine Arts Council Facebook Page.
We are a nonprofit Iowa City based organization committed to the support of artists throughout Southeast Iowa, the Midwest, and beyond.
We are dedicated to organizing and promoting two large-scale art markets on the University of Iowa campus each year, the Holiday Thieves' Market in the winter and the Riverbank Art Fair in the spring.
Apply to one of our shows today and join the hundreds of artists who proudly display and sell their works every year at our art markets! .

The UI Fine Arts Council is a self-supporting, non-profit student organization whose members share an interest in promoting the arts at the University of Iowa.
The mission of the Fine Arts Council is to provide support and to be available as a resource to University of Iowa artists.
The Council has been active since 1970 and advocates a full range of art disciplines.
Funds are raised by sponsoring and organizing two annual art shows/sales.
These funds are then used to sponsor the annual Student Art Grants.
On occasion, members of the council will attend art-related events on campus as a way to become exposed to the art community at the University of Iowa and to support student artists..

While the Council is primarily composed of students, membership is open to anyone willing to contribute ideas, time, and energy to promoting the arts at the University.
Membership provides students and others with an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the areas of Arts Management, Fundraising, Art Exhibitions, Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising.
