REQUIREMENTS.

The Diversity Certificate Program will be administered by the School of Social Work and offered to undergraduate students in any major.
Participants complete 12 credit hours including one 3 credit hour course in each of the following three diversity domains: 1) Racial and Ethnic Relations, 2) Social and Economic Inequality, and 3) Gender and Sexuality.
Students also complete a 3 credit hour capstone course (SOCW 3317 – Human Behaviors and Diverse Populations or MANA 4326 – Diversity in Organizations).
In addition,students must attend three co-curricular/experiential learning events and write a brief reflection paper about their experiences in the DCP.
Students who successfully complete all requirements will receive a Diversity Certificate of Completion that they can include on their UTA transcript..

All majors and all matriculating students with a minimum 2.5 GPA are eligible for the Diversity Certificate Program.
However, specific majors may restrict students from pursuing minors and certificates.
Students should consult with their major program to make sure that they are eligible to pursue minors and certificates..
