Upper Yadkin Valley Habitat for Humanity is a hands-on, nonprofit Christian housing organization that allows low-income families to realize the dream of owning a home. Habitat for Humanity builds homes with the help of volunteers and those families who meet the income and credit requirements to be selected as Partner Families. Habitat families must complete at least 300 "sweat equity" hours by working on their own homes, other families' homes, attending homeowner education classes and by contributing volunteer hours at Habitat before they can purchase their homes.
