C.), is a raidly growing group of over 600 Evangelical Christian Congregations worldwide. The heart values and practices of the Vineyard include an emphasis on worship, the Bible taught as God's Word and our standard, small groups, and effective equipping of the saints to do the ministry of Christ: a ministry of sharing the good news, bringing healing to the sick and broken, caring for the poor and needy, and setting the captives free.. . Each Vineyard is unique, yet we share a desire to truly know God and to serve Him with all of our hearts. We believe that our relationship with God must be relevant, practical and powerful if it is going to affect our lives and the lives of others.. . In its most basic form, a church is a group of people who gather together to learn about God and to share His love with others. That's what Jesus boiled it down to when he was asked what were the most important things to do in life: " Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:37-39). . In the greater Lansing area there are 3 Vineyard churches. Ours- VCF Lansing is the oldest, begun in 1986. It is located in Okemos, just east of Michigan State University.. The Capital City Vineyard meets in East Lansing, on north Coolidge, between Saginaw and Lake Lansing Road. Living Hope Vineyard Church is the newest, begun in 2003.
