Detailed description is Western horseback riding lessons 10 minutes west of Edson, AB and 40 minutes east of Hinton, AB. Think you would like to learn about western horseback riding? Come out for some lessons and give it a try!. . No experience necessary and it's okay if you're nervous.. . What to bring:. -weather appropriate clothing such as a jacket or sweater. -long pants such as jeans (no shorts). -closed toed shoes with a low heel such as rubber boots (no sandals or runners). -a positive attitude and a sense of adventure. . I have an assortment of helmets that can be borrowed for lessons. . What to expect:. -the first lesson usually involves a lot of talking and explaining, but if the rider is ready I do my best to get them up on the horse at least for a bit on the first day. -lessons not only focus on riding, but on general horsemanship and groundwork as well. You need all the pieces of the puzzle to become a really good horseperson. -lessons move at a pace determined by the rider. Pushing your limits is important, but only when you're ready for it.
