The wind chime, located at 109 East Main Street measures over 55 feet from the ground to the top and is constructed with five metal tubes which are suspended 49 feet from the ground. The total structure including the chimes, weighs 16,932.4 pounds.. . The dream to build the World’s Largest Wind Chime was inspired from Jim Bolin’s childhood memories of him listening to wind chimes at his Grandma Whitling’s home. Combining his passion for wind chimes and his knowledge with the pipeline maintenance industry, Jim dedicated almost two years on the design, planning and fabrication of the wind chime. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of several Bolin family members and friends, the wind chime was assembled and officially measured on December 15th.
