For over 20 years, Kimberly. has been touching lives in education and beyond. A childhood. dream of hers was to become a first grade teacher, have students. crawl up into her lap and teach them to read. She was fortunate. enough to do one of her student teaching assignments with a. former teacher, but still has not taught on the first grade level.. However, through her Wilson Reading certification, she has. taught children to read. After subbing in several school districts. across Long Island, Kimberly’s full time classroom experience. began in Bushwick, Brooklyn, an inner city area of New York,. in a school that is closing its doors at the end of the 2013-2014. school year. After four years, she left for the suburbs of Long. Island and began teaching in West Babylon where she still. currently teaches. She took the. recommendation of a bowling pro shop client and called in a. professional dog trainer.
