Detailed description is What once was New Paltz Summer Rec, YMCA Camp Wiltmeet is a collaboration of the YMCA of Ulster County and New Paltz Town Parks and Rec. Our day camp provides a summer of fun and adventures for school aged campers. Activities include teamwork, cooperative games, group projects, sports, drama, arts & crafts, foursquare, skateboarding, nature, newspaper, gardening, dance, swimming, yearbook and so much more! . . Our staffing includes college students and graduates, teachers, coaches, graphic designers, professional writers, artists, athletes, world travelers.... . All of our staff receive 30 hours of training prior to camp, are cleared by the NYS Department of Health, and must have a prior two years of experience working with children. We also have an EMT on staff at all times.
