Steve "Yoba" Elwood went into the bar business in 1987 when he purchased Tom's Tavern, a small bar in the space immediately north of our present building. In 1993 the establishment was moved into our current location, the former Alonzo's Market. Yoba and his family expanded the food business with the purchase of cooking equipment in 2001. Further renovations were made after the smoking ban went into effect in 2009. . With turning 30 years old this year, Yoba's Tavern continues to be a favorite gathering place for family celebrations, birthday parties, rotary and chamber meetings, pool league, and community events. We strive to provide great food, drinks, and service to the people of Rushville, surrounding areas, and those traveling through. . .
