Detailed description is The Youth In 2 Action Program was organized to mentor youth in the Metro East to be positive, productive citizens in their community. The purpose of the Youth In 2 Action Program (YIP) is to interact with the youth of Fairview Heights, IL and surrounding communities build strong rapport, develop character, and enhance their ability to be productive, positive, and active citizens in their community. The mentoring program currently focuses on boy and girls in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades to help them with life skills and opportunities they may not otherwise have. We also focus on building self-esteems, communication skills, improving youth/police relations, improving neighbor relations, and providing HOPE for the future.
