Detailed description is Our luxury Turkomen yurts are stunningly situated on a hillside in the Black Mountains. Beautifully hand-crafted, they are the perfect romantic getaway.. The Longden family have built two beautiful Turkomen yurt is in the most magical, secluded location, with a view of flowering meadows and the majestic back-drop of the Black Mountains. Inspired by their life in Botswana and the luxury eco-lodges in the Okavango Delta and the salt pans, they have built the yurts in keeping with their philosophy of living in unity with the environment, sourcing local wood and powered by solar-generated electricity.. . Mimi's Tree Yurt was handmade by the whole family– every rib was coppiced and crafted by hand, every detail lovingly executed in an ingenious but simple way. The yurt is spacious but cosy with a big brass bed, a free-standing copper bath, a wood burning stove, and a wooden annex with all the necessities in place – a spacious kitchen, a ‘long-drop’ compost loo, and an outdoor shower with a view to the Skirrid mountain. Lined with felt, the Turkomen is cool in warm weather and warm in cool weather. There is a grass sofa and a barbeque area outside so that you can enjoy the beauty of the Welsh mountains to their fullest.. . Tucked into a secret copse with the sound of birdsong in the trees, and cool dappled light falling through the leaves, lies Gabriel's Yurt. Hand-built by Gabriel and Jayne Henning out of chestnut, it provides every comfort and lots of space for a couple, with its big brass bed, comfy kilim-covered sofa, and wood burning stove. A small yurt serves as a gorgeous kitchen with a place to cook and plenty of space to sit and eat and a funky Jamaican-style tin shack houses the shower and compost loo. There is plenty of sunny space to relax outside, with garden furniture to enjoy an outdoor meal or two and the panoramic view. . . Each yurts sleeps two, with space for a small child and dogs..
