The National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a federally funded, private, nonprofit grantmaking organization that works to support freedom around the world, seeks Associate Editor for the
Journal of Democracy (JOD), a quarterly publication that addresses the problems and prospects of democracy around the world. The position is based in Washington, D.C.
Position Summary:
Responsible for day-to-day administration of the Fellowship Programs at the International Forum for Democratic Studies. Reports to the Director, Fellowship Programs.
Responsibilities:
Prepare official correspondence and documentation, including preparation of fellowship documents
Conduct orientations and organize fellowship events and activities
Provide support for emergency and out-of-cycle fellows, alumni, grantees, and other individuals facing political pressures or persecution abroad on account of their democracy and human rights work:
