3 nominated for Pueblo's upcoming county court judge vacancy

Just as a vacancy has occurred in Pueblo's district court, so has a vacancy been announced for county court.
This vacancy will be created through the retirement of the Judge David L. Lobato, who was first appointed to his position in February 2012 by then-Gov. John Hickenlooper. Prior to that he was a deputy state public defender in El Paso County from 1994-1995, and then worked the same job in Pueblo county from 1995 until his appointment to the bench. 
Lobato will vacate his seat on July 1, 2021. Gov. Jared Polis has until May 13 to appoint one of three selected nominees to the position, as the three individuals were presented to the governor on April 28.
