'Vaccine appointment roulette': King County residents frustrated over COVID vaccine scheduling
By Alex Halverson, SeattlePI
Constituents are telling the King County Council the process to get a COVID-19 vaccine is frustrating, and sometimes takes them hours to schedule an appointment, or even to find out if they're eligible for one. One council member thinks the answer is a streamlined source of information and a unified vaccine appointment system.
Councilmember Claudia Balducci, who represents the Eastside in District 6, said in a phone interview while the biggest obstacle is a low supply of doses, she believes the lack of easily accessible information is something local government can tackle. On Friday, she sent out a survey to constituents asking how their experience has been trying to schedule a vaccine.
