Washing our hands a lot more to ward off infection but this hour well also be looking at how to disinfect your groceries. And in sport the tokyo lympics have officially been given the new start date the Opening Ceremony will now take place on july the 23rd of next year. For the 3rd consecutive day spain has recorded coronavirus deaths in excess of 800 mondays figures showed 812 people died in the past 24 hours which is actually a small decrease from previous days but it means that more than 7300 people have now died in spain since the outbreak began infections are rising too as well there are now more than 85000 confirmed cases and at least 12000 of those healthy. Because other developments in the last few hours is this man the israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu is entering self isolation after one of his aides tested positive so now the Prime Minister is expected to be screened for covert 19 in the coming hours were looking for developments on that its evening now in china but in the daytime people were heading back to work with a virus was 1st detected were one which has been on the Street Corner now for 2 months and in the u. K. Theyre making preparations ahead of an eventual peak in infections field hospitals are being set up around the country and this is extraordinary 20000. 00 Health Workers are coming out of retirement to help so here is the team with us this hour harry forces in west jerusalem as saying update on Prime Minister netanyahu also rory chalons and brian in the u. K. Starting though in madrid matter where are these numbers i mean as i pointed out yes it is a slight decrease but still 800. 00 plus for 3 days in a row. Yes are you saying you were saying it to try to 1000 people in spain has tested positive from 19 this is 24 hours later with another 800 new fatalities from coroner writers racing the death toll at to 70300 from those 85000 people that have tested positive a 14 percent 12300 of them are care of Health Care Workers weve been talking about these in the past days that all these people her coworkers doctors and nurses battling in the front line of coronavirus i dealing with all these people infected and they dont even have the proper gear or the proper equipment to battle their games are iris theyre lacking theyre running out of gloves there are running out of masks we can see these doctors completely desperate china getting back ordinary grocery bags and cutting them and making making aprons has even to cover their shoes so the situation right now its really really dramatic especially for the Health Care Workers you dont know whether theyre infected or not the stuff you know youve made that point you stay there a 2nd for me im also because i want to have a look at some very specific pictures from madrid as a model saying this hospitals overwhelmed with these thousands of new infections these pictures they are from one hospital they were filmed anonymously the hallways filled with patients many of them being transferred out to other hospitals but then youve got of course the constant flow of people coming in as well spains government does say its testing more people than ever before but as amount of pointed out some doctors insist theyre still not getting everything they need theres a disconnect here marsha in fact lets hear from one of those doctors to look at some of the when this Government Crisis Committee comes out to say we have everything it is not true when they say we have 300000 test kits well thats all very nice to have 300000 kids but those kids must be tested by professionals who know how to do it if not why do you need them so we also have this problem when they say we have 300000 kids daily i can tell you that it is not through. As i was saying not so theres a disconnect here its hard to believe that a doctor is being so honest about that and saying no we dont have the kids and we dont have the training and that flies in the face of what the government is saying yes further beyond the way the only window to the real world for us is the media or the figures that the officials are under or the government is distributing to ask and the only way to know what the real situation in hospital is that the doctors and nurses statements which they are there theyre distributing through the media theyre just we can online so the news that we get from them is that the reality is that theyre completely overwhelmed though in that case that the government to greece because hospitals here are getting to the limits of their emergency units at the stage they cannot call weve seen how imma do it the hotspot or the ground 0 of coronavirus means pain they couldnt call in hospitals they have to be to be able to field hospitals like this exhibition center. Quite close to madrid that the army or ours. Have to be able to. Another hospital that field hospitals and there are another 77 regency in stain that are going to be in the same situation because theyre reaching the limit of their imagined c. Units so this is a real bad situation for spain up to date you know really is thank you for all those updates to herero in madrid now were off to west jerusalem harry force that is our correspondent there hi harry i mean when you a few days ago we were talking about possibly a new emergency unity government being formed and now this development with the Prime Minister. Thats right its been a somewhat mixed message coming from the Prime Ministers office through the course of the day emanating from the news that one of his senior advisers that her husband 1st of all was hospitalized with coronavirus then she tested positive for the disease initially the Prime Ministers office said that he hadnt hadnt met with her for the past 2 weeks and therefore would not require to go into self isolation but there was a t. V. News report suggesting that in fact the 2 had met on thursday at the private stuff as hasnt commented on that but it is now saying that netanyahu along with a number of his senior advisers will go into isolation as an epidemiological investigation takes place were expecting a decision from the Prime Ministers own personal position as to which day he will be allowed to emerge from self isolation as part of that epidemiological investigation there are those in the israeli media among others who are pointing to the fact that. He is his advisor on shore for docs affairs and there has been a real spike in cases in ultraorthodox neighborhoods in various parts of israel a good deal of contention about the degree to which people in those communities are observing or indeed not observing the very strict regulations that have been put in place to try to minimize the spread of the disease just earlier today there was little confrontations between police and some communities inside jerusalem in west jerusalem. Some were arrested for arrests were taking were carried out and as well as that there were rocks thrown at an ambulance crew who are conducting a coronavirus test as well as all this the cabinet is meeting this afternoon to discuss further tightening the measures potentially restricting the number of people who can gather in one place from 10 to 2 that yet to be decided let alone announced an. As you say behind all of this perhaps not too far behind it the negotiations take place they continue between netanyahu and benny gantz his erstwhile opponent in 3 inconclusive elections who had vowed to remove him from office now this unity government very much taking shape allowing us to stay in place ok thank you for that well wait to hear from harry for sort of any test results about Prime Minister netanyahu finally it is word chalons he is in brighton in the u. K. Pretty much deserted behind you there rory but stunning to hear some really positive signs coming out of the u. K. About a sort of collective effort for people to do what they can. Yeah come on you can see the view behind me and this is a scene that youll see pretty much the length and breadth of the country in any town or any city people are staying indoors theyre doing their bit to help fight coronavirus by socially distancing themselves a handful of people out on the streets perhaps walking dogs or doing a bit of Grocery Shopping for the most part everyone is staying inside for most of the day there are other ways that people are contributing as well though as you say there are a huge number of people that are now volunteering either to help the n. H. S. The National Health service there are 20000 former n. H. S. Staff that are coming back to the service that might be doctors that might be nurses or all the leaves except theyre also 750000 people who have volunteered to help out the n. H. S. In other nonmedical ways people who have no medical training necessarily but just want to step in and try to help out as best they can now the original estimate when that volunteer cause put out was for a quarter of a 1000000 people to to to volunteer themselves 3 quarters of a 1000000 have done so and another driver that has been in the headlines over the last few days theres been the push to get new ventilators into the n. H. S. That is absolutely crucial for saving lives at the beginning of this crisis the n. H. S. Had 5000 ventilators that it could use it needs Something Like 30000 it now has 8000 but a consortium of Companies Like be a systems for formula one teams like mclaren and the sadies. 27. Can sort of been in total is aiming to put another 10000. 00 ventilators into the n. H. S. Which will hopefully hopefully save lives and hopefully mean that the death toll when all this is said and done will be lower than the people who would be good to hear all of that rory some encouraging figures for once to do with coronavirus story challenges in brighton in the. As we mentioned earlier life is actually returning to normal in the epicenter of the outbreak businesses theyre getting up and running again and will china survive province katrina you from beijing foot 2 months 11000000 People Living in what theyve been confined to their homes and residential compounds are literally barricaded up now some of those people are starting to leave their homes theyre giving permission if they have a job and some essential industries have also started operations for example the car industry the cement in the Steel Industry and roads have opened up as well as morals and Stores People are able to go inside as long as they have their temperature checked 1st and theyre Wearing Masks the subway has also reopened as has the train station they have been thousands of people streaming into city starting from the weekend but Outbound Travel is still restricted until april the 8th now since the beginning of the epidemic more than 50000 people in city have been infected and there have been more than 2500 deaths and as a result the Chinese Government implemented some of the most draconian measures in that city and now in recent days weve seen almost 0 new local transmissions and the government says that those measures have been working its also brushed aside any fears of a 2nd wave of infections saying that one city is actually one of the most safe cities in china because people have been locked down under quarantine for such a long time but of course there are still persistent fears that the government could be under reporting cases because their interests are much pressure to get the local economy going again still in asia and south korea is the latest country to announce Cash Payments for people affected by the virus brian has more on that from seoul. This Disaster Relief fund is similar in the amount that it hands out to other schemes that have been announced by other developed countries it basically means that for a family of 4 theyre entitled to a one off payment of the equivalent of 820. 00 us dollars now to qualify for that its only families below a certain income level so this is very much aimed at some of the poorest sections of society some of the poorer families whove been hit hardest by the Economic Impact of this outbreak in announcing these details the finance minister has reiterated basically what everybody here in south korea has known for weeks now that the economy has really been slammed by the coronavirus all sections of the economy and in particular this is a good time to help some of the more vulnerable parts of the Economic Activity here such as restaurants such as family owned stores Small Businesses all aimed at trying to revive a great to the economy it comes to a total of just over 10000000000. 00 and at the same time that this has been announced president moon j. N. Of south korea has also announced that there will be a supplementary budgets to try to help the economy at a National Level now there was earlier this month a 2nd supplementary budget was passed now theres going to be another one that wasnt enough and so in total that with this latest announcement this means tens of billions of dollars are now being directed by the south korean government as it now looks beyond the Health Emergency trying to tackle some of the economic fallout of all of this. And zimbabwe has begun implementing a 3 week lockdown to prevent the spread of Security Forces have been deployed to enforce the restrictions but there are concerns about the governments ability to fight the pandemic because of its long struggling Health Sector one persons died 7 others are. Harare she says it is inevitably the poorest people who will suffer the most while these restrictions are place. Supermarkets pharmacies and fuel stations are open people are being allowed to go to those places to stock up on commodities but theyre being told not to stay out for too this is regarded township one of the oldest poorest and busiest neighborhoods in harare many people decided to stay at home on monday the Unemployment Rate here is said to be more than 80 percent the unofficial Unemployment Rate for many people work in the Informal Sector they are casual workers they need to come out to work in these markets which are now deserted the concern for millions of the across the country is how are they going to feed their families given that theres now a 21 day they say they have to work from monday to sunday to earn that little bit of money so they can look after their worried at this lockdown of 3 weeks 21 days is going to make that extremely difficult. To police roadblocks to stop people from moving around and necessarily businesses that have been fitted Non Essential Services have been shocked and they are concerned about how all of the bodies Public Health care system is going to cause an increase in in sections for years now doctors and nurses that long complained about how they dont have the essential equipment medicines in Public Hospitals to be able to look after patients to be able to keep themselves a table to treat those who are sick the government says its working with charity to try to make sure all that essential gear or that essential medicine is put in place in public. Last week a problem very influential family died from corona virus he came from the United States he didnt go to. They say if there were any ventilators. In a private hospital with. You raise concerns about how. Is. It infection. Activists are now warning that conditions that crowded southeast bangladesh leaving a 1000000 refugees at risk of contracting the virus and internet shutdown in and around the camps is also making the situation even more dangerous that just isnt the information. As our report. In the Worlds Largest refugee settlement anxiety and alarm as to clutches her prayer beads she also clings to her face. Weve heard the coronavirus has occurred in malaysia and thailand now weve heard it has spread in bangladesh and were praying to god to save us around 1000000 refugees live in these informal settlements in coxs bazaar where sanitation has always been an issue and Living Conditions are so crowded that social distancing is impossible. Authorities are using loudspeakers in some parts of the camps to give advice on how to prevent the spread of one team but humanitarian groups say its not enough the running the medics organization Virus Outbreak in this community could lead to an enormous loss of life and there is an. Its been producing informational videos in the work in the language and posting them online but last september bangladeshs government shut down most of the internet and Telecommunication Networks in and around the camps unfortunately the door you have the access so we had doing our best. And its really frustrating for us that we are not reaching the talking to the nation aid groups and in geos are urging government officials to reverse their decision should immediately lets say internet restriction so that refugees have information they are able to inform themselves about how to mitigate the risk of a crowd of virus spread in the camps the government hasnt responded to calls to restore the internet but says all measures its taken to prevent an outbreak have been necessary. If you have ordered the shut down of places where people usually gather including schools madrassas learning centers etc only essential commodities would be continued in the camps Amnesty International says the lack of Internet Access in bangladesh and other parts of the world is making the situation worse its not the best time to have. Communication because thats thats the easiest and the source of this amazing information that needs to be provided. To activists have been holding seminars to educate other refugees about a threat unlike any theyve faced before having escaped violence now doing all they can to evade the virus. And. This governments race to stop the pandemic one humanitarian organization is warning about the threat of infection amongst the worlds most disadvantaged people this is a report from refugees International Says many of the 70000000 displaced people are living in cramped unsanitary conditions social distancing its not really an option their access to Health Care Services is often limited or nonexistent the Organization Says that is problematic because refugees and migrants often have Underlying Health conditions themselves which as we know increases their risk of contracting the virus and a lack of information well that puts them at a disadvantage as well we mentioned the idea of the internet been shut down in bangladesh there were going to talk to in line now Vice President for programs and policy at Refugees International from washington d. C. Thank you for your time. The situation which ive just described for all these refugees its whats on sadly day ive got news today ive always had no we have the risk of infection getting worse and i wonder at a base level what can be done about it because governments are they going to be looking after their own people 1st im afraid the moment. Yes thanks for having me and your question is absolutely spot on i mean what were seeing and part of what was highlighted in the Previous Report was the the level of vulnerability amongst these populations if you look if you take for example whats been happening in new york whats been happening in italy if you see in certain areas high population density the speed and the scale of the transmission and what the impact has been on the extremely developed Health Care System in European Countries and china the United States and you imagine what the impact is going to be on in a crowded camp environment in a developing country that has just a fraction of those kind of resources to respond you begin to gives a sense of the scale of the problem so now were going to turn organizations and governments in these countries are facing a tremendous uphill battle the good news right now is that it isnt it hasnt spread yet to these places in a way that you know what were seeing in italy what were seeing in new york we saw it on before so now the question of can we take a couple of steps to try to get ahead of the curve by taking action now and some of those things involved you know getting information out to populations quickly it involves. Fortune i think weve lost our link there scott. And i hadnt can you still hear me just wanna double check i can yes sorry we just lost you for a 2nd there look what what what weve broken the let me ask you another question then because yes is starting to describe things that can be done. What can be done. Not just long term obviously money and aid is what people need long term in any refugee situation but what steps could be taken right now obviously give them information. Certainly so youll see it in a number of refugee camps or into displacement camps such a wish and your sightings there are already systems for surveillance to detect new diseases new viruses that are coming in because theyre so susceptible take a place like the democratic republic of congo which is just recovering from a massive a bowl break now is the time to repurpose those types of Surveillance Systems and the several sponsors timbs to focus intently on code 19 in other places you can take basic steps where there are high levels of congestion she camps just set up distributions so that they no longer require people to wait in long lines or crowded together to get their food for the kids trying to get some education its time now to start those steps and start preparing or taking planning and preparation to be able to carry those out its also time to start searching in activity to begin to develop basic Health Care Facilities and some of these areas places where you can begin to isolate individuals outside the camp if that be true is necessary how to nervous about the scott dropping out again so i might just leave you there but thank you so much for coming on its important we do continue to talk about these issues in these times of Coronavirus Thank you thank you. Well take a break from our coronavirus coverage to check on the weather with evident if youve got for us well lots of wet and windy weather across the u. S. At the moment have at times some wintry weather actually kamali mobile situations it is on the move weve seen some violent storms pushing across the u. S. You can see the i was a cloud maybe from west to east i mean got the system just down towards the far south which has seen some very very a wet and windy weather putting through another one deeper of low pressure actually just up around the lakes and we saw some nasty storms as a result of this this was in the am where we saw some very very heavy rainfall a resulting in the wash but flooding some life the storms are rumbling away and some large hail as well for good measure not too far away in ohio a similar picture of very high waters has saturated ground of course the worst of this weather is now they say in the process of moving away so that will pull over to rules new england studies to sort of kind of the also seeing some of that so wet and at times wintry mix down towards the deep south thats the next one to keep an eye on as we go on through the next couple of days some very heavy rain there pushing through mississippi alabama pushing across towards georgia we will see some big downpours coming in here across the mid Atlantic States slow it dry weather does come back in behind up to a northwest more wet windy and at times when she weather coming through clearer skies as we go on through wednesday going further east with supply the end of the week unsettled and i always know you tell me spring is unsettled and i thank you have it in folks there still ahead on this news hour. Where were you when j. F. K. Was shot where were you when you landed on the moon and where were you when for the virus is happening and all of my own interesting story to tell you in years to come certainly will the Global Health emergencies put a lot of people out of work but hasnt necessarily grounded Nasa Space Program just. Going to be hard to make her give them a year because i know youre not a good sign you know this sounds like. Tracking down the teddy bears the simple game to keep children entertained during the pandemic and its become a hit all over the world. And in sport we will find out who came on top of who to try again who came out on top as the worlds best moto g. P. Riders took their writing skills on line. And trace frank assessments struggling to cope with a number of her own failure to take really aggressive action really get them behind her informed opinions its going to be much more challenging in a place like eating where theres one later very relieved people indepth analysis of the days global headlines india doesnt up to the spread of coronavirus in the inside story on aljazeera there is no channel that covers world news like we did you as a roving correspondent i am told simply on the go. Topics from politics to conflict. And. Counted like nothing youve ever. Cared what we were knows how did these things affect people we revisit cases even when theyre no headline. Aljazeera really invested back thats a privilege as a journalist. This is the news all around aljazeera with continuing coverage of the coronavirus pandemic new numbers from spain this monday show the death toll rose 812 in the past 24 hours. More than 7300 people have now died since the outbreak began also more than 12000 Health Workers have been infected israels Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu has gone into self isolation after coming into contact with an aide who has tested positive for corona virus the Prime Minister is expected to be screened for the illness in the coming hours. And in china some people are going back to work in harmony with the virus was 1st detected citys been under strict quarantine for 2 months. So were going to return to some coronavirus numbers now but from a different perspective because while the death toll particularly in places like italy and spain is horrific it is not giving us the information we need about whether were winning this battle or not it is infection writes that gives us that information so lets bring up the i pad here got some graphs which we put together from our world and data which is run by the university of oxford these graphs show us days are for any single country from the point where they reached 100 cases so thats why on this 1st slide using a lot more date of the china because theyve been reporting cases for longer simple now in interpret in any of these graphs the things to remember these trajectories this line here shows a rate of infections doubling every 2 days and this line here shows that right doubling every 3 days so just remember those angles as i go through the rest of these slides so yes of course in the early days china was doubling its write every 2 days it was the epicenter of the outbreak but over time that is changing that point then moves to every 3 days and now at this point here were only getting a comparative handful of new cases every day and as china says most of those are coming from outside the country contrast that with there is a strong trajectory there of every 2 days doubling that rate of infection every 2 days and while we still continue to see really bad numbers out of their death rate and infection rate it is bending this is when we talk about the curve it is chain. Its gone to the point where its gone past doubling every 3 days and now heading for 4 days doubling every 4 days so the picture is improving in italy and even in spain where again that very high trajectory to start with of doubling the rate of infection every 2 days it is. Ever so slightly starting to bend there are fewer infections despite those 800. 00 plus deaths every day but contrast all of that with the United States and the trajectory here is straight up its basically between 2 and 3 lets say 2 and a half days for doubling the rate of infection and the big concern for the United States which has the highest number of infections in the world is that that infection rate is not slowing down and now is something a little different we want to look at some practical advice for those of you still leaving the house to go Grocery Shopping we have to do it dr jeffrey vendean is a physician from the United States he put a video on you tube giving advice on shopping safety which has already been watched by tens of millions of people around the world have a look so im going to just dump this bread into this container to seal it off and not allow any sort of contamination of the. More hardy plastic things that youre not worried about disinfecting more liberally you can actually spray the disinfectant rate on those items now these chips again i could dump them into a container but im just going to choose to spray them off thats ok or they go into the pantry. Now if you want to wipe off the areas that you think you lose hands were touching a bit more liberally than the areas that you dont think human hands of touch thats all commonsense stuff. Yeah good common sense stuff in the bands with us themselves dr jeff jeffrey founding and in grand Rapids Michigan i know its early this i thank you for your time do appreciate it i mean did you expect 1st of all to get such a reaction to this clip i didnt but i did recognize that this is a time when people of the world need to come together and help in any way that they can so tell me about everything youve shown there it is as you say its good common sense it is though i will say its very time consuming and its not necessarily practical do we just need to stop thinking like that and say yes maybe its not 100 percent practical but we just have to think along these different lines now. And i think the underlying theme is just do the best you can and use some some common sense and that would involve. Thinking contemplating before you do leave the home because thats one of the most important things that we can do at this point is to stay at home but we do need to eat and if you do go to the Grocery Store and the younger members of your family because we know that this this virus can be more deadly to our elders. I just want pause for a 2nd doctor because ive got something i want to show to our viewers its actually come out from the Public Ministry of Public Health here in qatar and thats their sort of protocols which theyve put out similar to the sites of things that youve talked about now they saying at home exit as they say things like wearing a long sleeve jacket taking disposable costs with you washing your hands i mean all fairly good advice but then also on coming back into the house take off your shoes take off your clothing leave your keys and your wallet in your bag or at the at the entrance i should say take a shower wash your phone again i mean its very involved sort of stuff isnt it do you think people will latch onto that idea of taking it that seriously. Well i would hope that just a little bit more vigilance and of the more prudence can can reduce numbers of infection and we do we do know that that time degrades this virus also soap and sanitizer from the hands so all those things are Good Measures but by and large we just dont want to get those viral particles up to our face so im just thinking again about bringing stuff into the house if i come in with my groceries. Take me take me 3 movie so some of the video but take me through your process that would be if you were walking into your house now with your groceries well it is a worst Case Scenario and again we dont need to fear our food its being out in the marketplace and being in contact with potential respiratory droplets and people in close proximity but if you could consider your home a fortress where you do not want to bring covert 19 into your home within your body or potentially in its a low potential but nonetheless on things like plastic and metal and incur more than 3 days would be a worst Case Scenario because this does degrade with time so if you can leave nonperishable goods at your door stop or perhaps in a grudge for a few days youre going to keep things airtight but those perishables that you do need to bring into the home there are some ways that you can nod to sanitize those to make sure that were absolutely sure that that will progress to infection and doing the best that we can. You doing a great Public Service and we really thank you for that great to talk to you. Thank you take care you say. Now in addition some information around this pandemic can get a bit confusing it doesnt necessarily give us the full picture we want to focus on age groups demographics here now you know despite how the world health Organization Says older people and those with preexisting conditions appear to be the ones most vulnerable to serious illness but theres Interesting Data from the United States this is as of march 16th look at the dark blue line there were talking age 22 to 2420 percent of the people in hospital thats them the young ones and in south korea as well the highest number of infections among those and were looking at the sort of darker pink line there are between 20. 29 and noticeably higher than the others as well what we do know as well is that the fatality rate at the moment is 4. 7 percent so when youre looking at the red number of calls that one top corner and the number of deaths in whites that is a 4. 7 percent percentage the number in white of deaths and in the past few weeks this is Something Else to consider as well there was a 14 year old boy who died in portugal was the youngest in europe there was another teenager in france there was an infant in the u. S. Who also became the youngest person to be infected. Well dr peter drawback is in effect this disease specialist based in oxford who we spoke to earlier he explained why young people might actually be more risk than originally thought. Were learning so much about this this this disease every day whats clear is that everybody is vulnerable to infection and in fact in countries that have been testing a lot more aggressively theyre finding that the proportion of infected people who are younger is actually quite high and while overall younger people have a lower risk of severe disease and death as your segment just pointed out its very clear that that anyone can be affected and in working for clues in some very young people as well one speculation as to why were seeing such higher rates of disease and even hospitalization in western countries and actually in new york city about half of all hospitalized patients are between 18 and 491 speculation is that younger people were less likely to abide by social distancing regulations because they felt that maybe if they were vulnerable that wasnt going to affect them and that may have actually driven more trans Trance Mission in those populations now were seeing a slight predominance of males over females amongst those infected but where really gets interesting is that men appear to have a higher death rate than women amongst those infected and that has cut across multiple Different Countries we dont know why yet certainly one suspicion is that for example in china and italy at some places where a lot of these states are coming from that men are much more likely to smoke and drink and that can drive Underlying Health conditions and risk factors. A look at nepal now which has been under a complete lockdown for the past week after 5 cases were concerned thousands of tourists stranded after the government suspended International Flights to prevent the spread of coverage 19 mohammad has that story. After days of being trapped in the himalayan mountains in the pile of these foreign trackers and local guides have made it back to the capital since a nationwide lockdown was brought in to contain the coronavirus many had been waiting to return to safety and there was a lot of anxiety but there was also a lot of confusion. We didnt know what was going on thousands of tourists from europe australia south korea the u. S. And canada have been stuck in trucking routes across the country the past tourism board says rescue operations are underway more flights are yet to come as my information and. Flights. Landed here in kathmandu and i need to fax people from Different National media over. The german and french embassies have been working with nepalese authorities to repatriate hundreds of their citizens using chartered planes over does. The pandemic is coming to nepal with the like you do not germany has much better Health Care System than the poor so i think the risk in germany is much smaller than here maybe it is more difficult to secure a lot of french people thought about staying in nepal because the situation was better but now we are also thinking about our jobs and want to be closer to our families at this time. But some travelers from the u. K. And u. S. Are still waiting for information on what will happen next there are to say they are working on solutions that will be flight coming in scotland to go back to london and take you home thanks flights will not be free they will come in on a commercial basis but we are working very hard with the airlines to try to make sure that the price is not. Invited so Many Americans are in fact outside of new and currently under lockdown it strikes me that the thing that makes nepal such an attractive destination the ability to get far off the beaten path is also complicating our logistical work right now we are currently bringing american citizens into cap and do from all over nepal. Tens of thousands of businesses come here every spring for trekking and mountaineering but now expeditions businesses and major markets have closed transport has come to a standstill and the nepalese government has extended a nationwide lockdown but many foreigners stranded here say they just want to go home for him mohammed al jazeera. This is one of my favorite stories today because its a good news story and its from my home country you know a 3rd of the worlds population is living under lockdown which is challenging to children stay indoors away from schools and friends in new zealand some are turning to teddy bears you good old teddy bear just to support their young and themselves actually bellus as this report. Were going on a bear hunt when not scared that much of that from the pages of a Childrens Book to the streets of all cloned children hunting for teddy bears in peoples windows the game is a way to entertain children living under lockdown but going on to be had probably cant get out my year because i dont know how to go out at sign an hour that ok i use elance coronavirus lockdown came into effect on thursday for 4 weeks citizens can only leave their homes if they were going to Central Services or going to the supermarket or for health care or to go for a walk with the people they live with we experience and accept that people will go for a walk they will take the children outside to get fresh air they might look for tb some windows spread as they pass people keep your distance dont talk to others just stay within your bubble and if youre in wellington and youre walking in the local neighborhood you might see one of my window her fiance followed up with this append and a beer looking down from the residence Near Parliament and its not just in new zealand this was in washington d. C.
