Amazon distribution center coming to Broome County

TOWN OF CONKLIN (WBNG) -- Amazon is officially coming to Broome County.
Broome County Executive Jason Garnar told 12 News the company will set up a new distribution center at 136 Carlin Rd. in the Town of Conklin within the next year or so.
This comes two years after Garnar dropped the idea of
Garnar commended the move and said it will not only create jobs for county residents but would help with the county's overall economic health.
"The more jobs you have here, the more people will come here, " said Garnar. "We keep talking out wanting to keep people here, we keep talking about wanting to attract people here and certainly its a lot easier when Amazon is in your community."
