A 29-year-old man has been charged with murder after police say he shot and killed a woman inside her home in front of her children in Anderson on Sunday.
Dmicah Larand Beard, of Marion, was charged with murder and two counts of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon one day after Sharmice Boyd, 33, of Anderson, was found shot near the front door of her home in the 1500 block of Walton Street shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday.
Boyd was taken to a hospital, where she died.
According to Anderson police, "several witnesses" gave arriving officers a description of the suspect in the shooting, and police soon arrested Beard in the 1800 block of
