Archetype Solutions Group, WELCOA (The Wellness Council of America), and other workspace-wellness leaders such as Laurie Ruettimann and Arianna Huffington collaborated to highlight the need for employer-sponsored, mental health programs to combat the heightened levels of stress, burnout, and depression resulting from the coronavirus pandemic. “The Urgency in Addressing Mental Health in the Workplace,” was held on December 8, 2020, and attracted 850 participants from all sectors of the business community.

During the half-day virtual event, presenters showcased various commercially-available technology-based solutions such as apps and online platforms that employers can use to reduce stress and create more resilient workplaces. While many of today’s corporate wellness programs have tended to focus on managing physical health factors such as blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), cholesterol, and glucose levels, this newer generation of purpose-built mental health/employee engagement applications are helping organizations improve the psychological well-being and mental resilience of their teams.
