NOIDA: UP Diwas (UP Day) celebrations began in Noida’s Shilp Haat on Sunday with Shiv vandana and cultural programmes. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will visit the city on Monday and spend around two hours here.
While Noida International airport and the Film City are the highlights of the district, projects worth over Rs 30,000 crore, including Heritage Corridor, Logistic City, apparel, furniture, MSME parks, Multi-Model Logistic Hub, Multi-Model Transport Hub, data centre, mobile and white goods hubs etc. are also on display. Besides, the CM will lay the foundation stone for around 40 projects worth Rs 295 crore on the occasion.
Indu Prakash, officer on special duty (OSD) Noida Authority, said that since Noida borders Delhi, efforts have been taken to make the event on par with Delhi standards so that people can see the growth here. “The fact that the CM will spend around two hours at the venue and has selected Noida to host the event along with Lucknow shows that GB Nagar is a driving force behind economic growth,” Prakash said, adding that 127 stalls have been set up, of which 20 are from Noida Authority.
