Amaya Atucha, an associate professor of horticulture and fruit crop extension specialist, was featured in the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association’s annual nationwide advocacy for higher education program on May 10, 2021. The event, for alumni and friends of UW-Madison, highlights the important role the federal government plays in UW–Madison’s research and higher education mission.
Normally held in Washington, D.C., this year’s program was virtual. Atucha presented along with Thomas Friedrich, professor in the department of pathobiological sciences. Their remarks begin at minute 8:00 in the event recording.
