$1 million donation on hold?
Perry took issue with Chrite's characterization that the two were not "in alignment."
"If you know anything about board operations on any board, there's always give and take," he said. Disagreements are normal.
One matter in which the board and Chrite apparently didn't see eye-to-eye was a donation-naming rights offer.
"There is a myth going around that I turned down $1 million," Perry said. "Someone wanted to name a building and they were going to give the school $1 million. That's not true."
A policy that's several years old states naming rights for a building require a minimum $5 million donation, Perry explained.
