RESIDENTS in Christchurch and Highcliffe have complained about overflowing rubbish bins at some of the area’s most popular beauty spots.
Waste bins at Christchurch Quay and Hengistbury Head were seen brimming with takeaway boxes and disposable coffee cups, as many people visited the coastal attractions for their daily allowance of exercise.
However the council have said that they are "really disappointed" at seeing the bins provided incorrectly used.
Sylvia Lang, 79, was giving her disabled 82-year-old husband a walk alongside the water’s edge at Christchurch Quay on Saturday January 23 at 1.15pm when she came across the unsightly bins.
She said: “It was very sad to see people are just not caring about our lovely community.
