Tremendous victory for both our nations. They will create countless expanded investment and commerce. Promote fairness and reciprocity and unlock the best opportunities for growth. In the United States, these game changer for our farmers and our ranchers. We have been working very hard on the spirit providing them with significantly enhanced access to a critical foreign market. Reallyment, i will be honoring a lot of folks in the room that are here with us from farm country, ranch country, and were going to be witnessing an ambassadorning by Robert Lighthizer and the ambassador from japan, along trip, just got here. Doug, thank you. Thank you. Hello to your wife. North carolina Lieutenant Governor. Hi. We just approve that last amount of money for the hurricane. Yo you know that, right . Iowa Lieutenant Governor adam gregg. Great job. Great job. And many other state and local officials. We have some tremendously respected people here, political people. I want to extend a special welcome to all of the leaders here today representing American Farmers and ranchers benefiting from this deal. To medically important deal in a very big deal including those from our beef, pork, wheat, dairy and corn associations. I would like to recognize zippy. He has been with us from the beginning. Hi. Very good. Thank you for being here. Zippys always here trying to make good deals for you folks, right . Hes president and ceo of the American Farm bureau federation. Were doing really well. In fact, we are doing a deal, a big deal with japan but china is buying again. Buying very big. A lot of people do not like to talk about that but china is in the market, buying very big agricultural. Were also joined by several Senior Leaders from our nations Top Technology companies. Hi, chris, how are you . Hows ibm doing . You have a lot to do with farming. Smart farming, very smart farming. Peggy johnson of microsoft. Peggy, thank you very much for being here. Please say hello to. And Craig Albright of Business Software alliance. Thank you very much, appreciate it. It really is now smart farming. Doesct, going to m. I. T. Not hurt, either when you are a farmer nowadays. Administrationy has fought tirelessly to achieve a level Playing Field for the american worker. In addition to the agreements we are signing with japan today we reach a tremendous agreement with mexico and canada to replace nafta with the new u. S. Msca. And hopefully that will get done and the nottoodistant future. Everybody wants it. Manufacturers want it. Farmers want it. Even unions wanted. People want it. It is a great deal for all of the countries but in particular a great deal for us and our workers. Were also completely renegotiating, and now we have completed that and signed it, the u. S. Korea trade agreement, substantially expanding American Auto exports. Its made a tremendous difference. That was a terrible agreement. We renegotiated it. It is now a good agreement for the United States. It was not a good agreement for the United States at all. Todays signing of the u. S. Japan trade agreement bu ilds on these incredible successes to the benefits of both of our nations and i have to say that while we are here and because of the fact that we are talking about agriculture, ethanol and the farmers of nebraska and iowa and all of the different places that wanted it, weve come to an agreement and it is going to be i guess about getting close to 16 billion barrels, Something Like that. Thats a lot. Say it again. 16 billion gallons. President trump thats a lot. That is a lot of gallons. So, they should like me out in iowa and all the different places. I think so. Importantly, we have taken in tremendous amounts of money in the form of tariffs from china. China has eatedn the cost of they haveffs because devalue their currency and they have also pumped a lot of monday into their system money into their system. Deflation is we have no inflation. If anything, it is going below the number. So therefore, we are entitled to Interest Rate cut. This would be like a rocket ship. And we are already the strongest economy in the world and doing better than just about any economy in the world. Of people we would like to see an Interest Rate cut, a very substantial one. And whatever else they want to do but we would be a rocket ship. And if you look at from the time go toelected, if you november 9, the day after the close to 60 re up in the market, which is numbers that are pretty much unheard of. It is a fairly short period of time. Our country is doing really well, but we are taking care of our farmers out of the billions and billions of dollars that we have gotten. You heard about that, zippy. We are giving 12 billion from the year before to complement of china, thank you very much. And 16 billion this last year and we will see what happens next year. Maybe by that time it is strained out. But the farmers and ranchers were targeted to put it mildly by china. It is nice theyre coming back and by the way china is also coming here, their representatives are coming on thursday and friday, bob, i believe, so you will start some negotiations. The relationship is very good. As to whether or not we make a deal, i dont know. But the relationship is a very good one. And billions of dollars and all of those many more billions, were giving 16 billion to our farmers because i asked sonny perdue, what was the amount of money that last year, the farmers were hurt . Let me get back to you. The number was 16 billion. I said, thats ok. We are going to take 16 billion out of the tariffs and give it to the American Farmer and i think they appreciated that. It never gets reported by the fake news as i say, but never gets reported. I dont know why. Took 12 you know, we billion from the year before and it also came from large amounts of tariffs. And people are actually saying, i read a report today and the Washington Times where they talked about the tremendous amount of money that has actually come in from tariffs. Its been a number we have never even seen before in this country. We have had a tremendous amount of money coming in. Some of the republican senators, and it is not a bad idea, said why dont we give it, because we have a lot of money left over, after taking care of our farmers, we are bringing it up to the farmers were targeted. So, in theory, that should be in some way a level Playing Field. The amazing thing about the farmer. I have been with so many. They dont even want that, right . They just want a level Playing Field. They do not even want 16 billion. Larry kudlow wants 16 billion. The farmer does not want it. They want to play the game the way it should be played. I think were probably pretty close to doing that, too. No other president would get 16 billion and 12 billion for the American Farmer or rancher, that i can tell you. So, maybe it is your great work, i dont know. It was all of us, everybody standing up here, frankly. Under the terms of the agreement today, japan is committed to dramatically increased Market Access to American Food and agricultural exports. Iutts a very dramatic number. It is one of the larger trade deal signed it as a result 126 million japanese consumers will have greater access to highquality american almonds, wine, poultry and egg products, and so muchwheat more. Anything else you folks can think of . Do you want to shout it out . Steve . Beef. President trump did i not say t hat . Ethanol. Let me think about that one. Once this agreement enters into force, japanese tariffs will be completely eliminated so that japan will not be judging us as have charging us as they have for many years. That we appreciate. And substantially reduce over 90 of the United States agricultural exports. That is a big thing, because we are getting charged a lot oft tariffs. Its ok for us to charge but we cannot have other countries charge. Farmers, ranchers and growers were not be able to compete fairly in japan against major competitors worldwide. In addition to these agricultural agreements, the extraordinary agreement that we did that digital agreement is a very big deal in its own right. Were signing today set standards on the 40 billion in digital trade between the United States and japan. We just want a big, talking about digital, talking about the internet but we just won a big case. You people would really know, right . That was a big case that we won on net neutrality. Just won it. It is going to maybe they will not even appeal it because it is a very hard case to appeal but it was a tremendous victory in terms of speed and in terms of investment on the internet. This deal is remarkable and that it will ensure americans have a level Playing Field in trading Cutting Edge Products and service such as video, music, ebooks and software. These provisions meet the Gold Standard of digital trade rules that was set in the landmark usmca. Again, we hope that will get voted on. We hope that nancy pelosi gets it voted on because Everyone Wants it. Shell have to make her own decision. Let her make her own decision. But i can tell you the American Public is tired of donothing. We are doing a lot, and the democrats are doing nothing. Thriving commerce between United States and japan is essential to advancing opportunity and prosperity for our people. The United States and japan are the Worlds Largest and Third Largest economies. Together on issues comprise nearly 1 3 of the entire globes gdp. Japan is americas Third Largest agricultural export market, and this makes it even bigger. Foreignis japans top investor and that is what i was talking about. All of the plants that are going up all over the country. I said to the Prime Minister, i will be pleased. We need auto plants. I said when i first met with him and immediately liked him a lot. They really produced. Doing a lot of plants, not just auto. Factoriesplants and are being built in the United States by japanese companies. These agreements will ensure that are Economic Partnership flourishes writer than ever before. We are probably at a stage with japan where i do not think our relationship has ever been stronger or better than it is right now. In the months ahead our teams will continue negotiations on remaining areas of interest to achieve a final and very comprehensive agreement. Were working on that right now. Some big things were working on. Id like to invite ambassador lighthizer to provide further details on these historic deal. Thent to thank everyone in room for being here and thank you very much the media for being here, too. Please, robert. [applause] thank you very much, mr. President. Thank you for helping us get this agreement across the finish line, but more importantly, thank you for rearranging trade in new nonstate in the direction of Americans Workers and farmers and ranchers prefer to long we have lost our way and during the last almost three years you have brought us back and im very grateful for that and im grateful to have been a part of it. I want to thank a few people on my team. We had a huge group involved. Jeff and greg dowd, two of my deputies. Michael, sharon, then there are lots of other people who gets a lot of credit for doing this. Let me quickly made the point that the president has already made. This is a very big trade deal. This is about 55 billion worth of trade. With this, we will have more than 95 of the gdp that wouldve been in tpp. So, it is very import for farmers. It is also important for digital trade. Japan is the biggest market the United States in beef, pork, s a substantial market in of right of every things including potatoes and nuts. It also affects wine. We think we will have substantial additional sales as a result of this. So, thank you again, mr. President. It is a pleasure, and honor for me to be a person who gets to sign this. Over,d like to turn this the podium over to the ambassador who is not only the ambassador from japan to the United States but also was very active in getting this deal across the finish line. So, thank you very much. [applause] well, frankly speaking, i must tell you i feel really daunting. I couldnt feel more honor to be in this signing ceremony in the white house. You are listening to President Donald Trump there. This is the signing of a u. S. Japan trade agreement. This agreement is very heavy and agricultural products, according to Robert Lighthizer. It amounts to about 55 billion goods,fo traded potatoes, corn, soybeans, wheat. A lot of other products there. President trump did touch on a few issues including, he basically reiterated his call for the Federal Reserve and the u. S. To cut Interest Rates, saying the economy would be like a rocket ship if the fed did that. And he touched on a few other economic issues. Scarlet in the meantime we had the stock market close. A day of declines of u. S. Equities. On lower than average volume with the dow, the s p and the nasdaq off 1 3 of 1 . Whatd you miss . Is up next, where we have more on general electrics plan to slahsh its pension benefits. This is bloomberg. We are live from bloomberg World Headquarters in new york. I am caroline hyde. U. S. Stock market trading on very thin volume fell in the s p 500. But the question is whatd you miss . Takes a broada trade package off the table ahead of highlevel talks in washington. Trumps turn on turkey. After President Trump reverses his policy on syria. An initial green light for erdogan to take on kurdish forces. Ge squeezing benefits on 20,000 workers. What this means. Trade deals signed. President trump just signing a limited trade pact with japan at the white house. This is after dropping threats from auto tariffs. This step forward comes as china signals they will limit the scope for for a potential trade deal in their negotiations with the u. S. Negotiators meeting later this week, the president existing there is still a good chance for a good deal. Alsodent trump china is coming here, their representatives are coming on thursday and friday, bob, i believe. So, you will start some negotiations. The relationship is very good. As to whether or not we make a deal, i dont know. But the relationship is a very good one. Joining to talk more about this is michael, the head of china and northeast asia at the eurasia group. This is the 13th round of negotiations between the u. S. And china. Are we any closer to where we were after the fifth round . Y, that is a surprisingl kitty question. We have gone forwards at times and we have gone backwards. What we are looking at right now is will they get to an interim deal. Minian talk acall it a deal. Both sides of an interest to avoid further escalation. And to try to fidn some kind of landing zone for President Trump that would bring further relief to u. S. Farmers, not panic Financial Markets. Roader trade deal looks as far away as ever. The more likely scenario is that the u. S. Would postpone planned tariff increases. There is one for the 15th of this month. Another in middecember. The most optimistic scenario would be limited tariff relief. Thatps around the tariffs went to affect in early september. But i do not think we are going to go below the main, the main body of u. S. Tariffs which is 25 on 250 billion, half of u. S. Imports from china. Hard to see the two sides touching that. Romaine im sort of interstate in what china could potentially get out of this. When you look at the nuts and bolts of the japan agreement, it was largely depend catering to some of the u. S. Demands. I do not think japan got much out of this. More agricultural exports. Do think china would give in in that way to sort of appease what is supposed to be an ally. There is an element of that. They would not be giving all that much. If china were to step up purchases of u. S. Agricultural goods, that would be something that more or less is in beijings interest. It is not huge sacrifice. They also throw in some reform commitments that are an Early Harvest of what they have been negotiating as part of the trade deal. Were again talking about the waytively easy politically. Financial services, for example. That is much more politically comfortable for beijing than some of the issues that have likeged as red lines changes to china cybersecurity regine wrapped up in National Security and ideological issues for china. So, i think the commonality with some is that, yes, in cases it is to avoid a further threat from the Trump Administration. A week ago, bout work bloomberg had a story that moved the market, raising concerns that this trade fight was set to move into the Financial Services front and center. Larry kudlow once again came out and said we are not expecting making chinese giants such as cesbaba get off u. S. Indi anytime soon. But what he think about Financial Markets becoming a fighting point between them . Michael there is a nearterm issue in terms of the risk of the u. S. Doing something aggressive. That does not seem to be really in the works. But i think over the mediumterm, somebody said the writing is on the wall here. Other areas of the u. S. Relationship are fragmenting, or decoupling, especially when hawk about technology. Anwhen we talk about technology. Shifted ons have capital markets. China to some extent registers that. That is why you see beijing putting a lot of effort into this new technology board. As political he unsustainable to have chinas National Champions in tech listed on u. S. Exchanges where they are vulnerable to u. S. Regulators and shareholders. Larry kudlowthe said, it does not seem like we are talking about some acute stresses, but i think the politics are moving in the opposite direction as financial integration right now. Romaine you, in a previous interview did with bloomberg, you refer to a kind of a Technology Cold war between the u. S. And china. It seems clear that china understands that. I get the sense that lighthizer understands that. Trump himself seems like he is more sort of playing to the electorate and the base which is not care about those things as much. Is a great point and that is why handicapping the trade fight is so difficult because where the president is is different from where the rest of the u. S. Political establishment is to congress was up in arms about technology issues. The u. S. Intelligence apparatus up in arms. The president not so much. Caroline it appears the u. S. Has blacklisted 8 more Chinese Company is, this one including were trying to get to the bottom. This is another Digital Technology company in the line of fire is technology in china. From your perspective, are we going to see more . Why are we suddenly seeing more blacklisting, just before such important talks . Michael it is pretty fascinating. We need to see the details. I assume this is over chinese uigheries with the population. These are the hawkish voices in the administration looking to prove to the world and to beijing that trade is not going to lead the u. S. To pull punches on National Security issues. Romaine that is michael hirson. From new york, this is bloomberg. From the couldnt be prouders to the wait did we just winners. At the white house President Trump signed a trade agreement with japan. At winning aimed back benefits American Farmers lost when the president pulled out of a broader asiapacific pack during his first week in officet. The limited deal does not resolve differences over trade in autos. The president says the two countries are continuing to work on a more comprehensive agreement. Lets go back to the white house where the president is now taking questions from the media. President trump youre talking about 500 billion, not million, that is a lot, too. Manybillion a year for years taken out of our country. We rebuild china. I do not blame them. I told president xi. You one bit. I blame the people that ran this country to allow that to happen, and they understand that. We dont let that happen anymore. We will see what happens. We are going to have a very important meeting. They have people coming in. I have my top people doing the job. If i dont think they are doing a good job, i will fire them and i will go over and take their place, ok . Yeah, please. [inaudible] like tot trump wed see a very humane solution to that. I hope that is going to happen. Hong kong is very important as a world hub, not just for china but for the world. And you have great people over there. See they are flying the american flags. They even assigned, make china a great again, make hong kong great again. Im saying, get those signs. But they have tremendous signage, a tremendous beer for our country. A lot of trump signs. Id just like to see a humane deal be worked up. I think think president xi has the ability to do it. I sort of said that i think if he met, he is a very convincing man, and i think if he met with some of the leaders. That could be one problem. You do not seem to have a specific leader of the group. We just want to see a humane solution. [inaudible] in the course of these negotiations. President trump we are negotiated. If anything happened bad that would be a bad thing for the negotiations. Politically it would be very tough may be for us and maybe for him. But, n oo, i think they have to do that in a peaceful manner. I will say, the first time i thought, if you look at the number of months ago, i thought two Million People. Ive never seen anything like it. We talk about crowd size. That was series crowd size. The crowd size is much smaller now. Maybe that is saying something. Yes, sir. Would you accept a partial trade deal with china . [inaudible] President Trump a very question. I think it is not what we prefer at all. They are starting to buy a lot of our agricultural products. You see that. They are coming in very strong on pork, also, in particular. But on other products. So, i dont know if you call that a partial. N agreement. E a my inclination is to get a big deal. We have come this far. We are doing well. Again, the fact that they have done what they have done with their currency, the devaluation, it really has done increased not increased prices. We are talking china. It does not mean in all cases that happens. Other countries prices increase. In the case of china that has not happened. And they put a lot of money into their goods. They want to keep their people working. I understand that very well. But i think we just have to see what happens. I would much prefer a big deal to it i think that is what we are shooting for picking some thing happen . Maybe. Who knows . I think it is probably unlikely. Ok . On withdrawing forces from syria, why are you siding with an authoritarian leader. President trump im not siding with anybody. Syria was supposed to be a shortterm hit. That was many, many years ago. We only have 50 people in that area, that is a small sector. I dont want those 50 people hurt or killed. I dont anything that want anything bad to happen to our people and i told that the presenident erdogan. Any of our people get hurt, big trouble. Now, a couple of things. I think there is a lot of pressure on turkey. They have been fighting with the pkk for many years, their natural enemies. If you read today a couple report saying when president obama started this whole thing, it was started by president natural wareated a with turkey and their longtime enemy pkk. And they are still there. They are still hating each other beyond anybodys believe. But ive told turkey that if they do anything outside of what we would think is humane to use a word the second time can we talk about hong kong, we talk about this. They could suffer the wrath of an extremely decimated economy. Ive done it once. I did it with pastor brunson. You remember pastor brunson. They would not give pastor bruns on back. They ended up giving him back pretty quickly. Their currency fell at record levels and lots of other things happen. I have a very Good Relationship with president erdogan. I will tell you this, though, we defeated isis. When we i wanted to, were at 96 and 95 and 97 , i sor t of said, let the other countries in the area finish it off. I was met with a lot of anger from some people in our country. I said i will finish it off. I felew to iraq. We did a far quicker than any general from here told us we could do it. They did it quickly. And is asaid to the European Countries you got a take your isis. Have 60,000, maybe even 70,000 people, that includes family, that includes wives of fighters that were killed. We have many fighters that were killed in the battle. We took in over 100 of the caliphate, i took over quickly. It was a mess when i came to office. I think most of you would agree to that. It was a real mess. I took it over but then i said, what are we going to do with the 60,000 to 70,000 people that are being held and being guarded, and we cant release them and many fighters, also . I want them to go back to germany, to france, the different European Countries from where they came. And i said to the European Countries, i said to all of them, take the people back. They said, no, no, we dont want them back. They came from germany or france. Take them back. Theyre so used to the United States being a sucker, being a fool. We are talking about billions and billions of dollars. Youre talking about life. You are talking about so many helmets. Elements. They are going to walk back into germany and go back into the countries from where they came to it i said take them back and they said no. I said, i will give you another 30 days. Take them back. And they kept saying no. Maybe they will not be saying no now. I told president erdogan, its going to be your response ability. Really, who is responsible . Really russia. Its turkey. Its iran. And iraq, and its syria anybody else in the neighborhood. We call it the neighborhood. It is not a from the neighborhood. But these country should do it. Now, isis is the sworn enemy of all these countries. Many of them they hate far more than they hate us. Those countries hate them at the same level as we do. They are terrible savage killers. I said, take them back. But these countries are rich in most cases, they are po werful. They have got armies. They can do the work. Bringing 50,000, 60,000, or even 10,000 people to Guantanamo Bay in cuba. Were not going to be paying them for the next 50 years. Or pain to take care of them for the next 50 years. So, we told, europe. We did a Great Service to the world, and we did a Great Service to europe where so many of these fighters came from. We said, take them back and unfortunately, like nato, they take it any. Take advantage. Nato, i got the secretarygeneral said, and i think very loudly, the secretarygeneral of nato said because of what i did they have paid over 100 billion more money toward nato defense, but that is still not enough. Not fair. Because the United States pays far too mcuh relative too much relative. The nato, like trade with European Union which is a tough group to trade with. Almost as tough as japan. They are very chil tough group o trade with. Take them back. We are not going to put them in Guantanamo Bay. So, right now were at a position where if turkey does anything out of what they should be doing, we will hit them so hard in the economy but when you talk about soldiers, we only had 50 soldiers in the area. Its a very small area, very small area. But we only had 50 soldiers there. Adont want them in compromising position. And i will tell you this. Everybody specs our country, again, if we want to go in, if we have to go back for any reason because bad things happen, but were 7000 miles away. S people, whatever you want to call them, these people are right there. They are touching many of these countries i just named. Iran as an example. Ahtehates isis. Iraq, you know all about that. Turkey, syria. Let them take care of it. Let them take care of it. We want to bring our troops back home. It has been many, many years, it has been decades in many cases. We want to bring our troops back home. I got elected on that. If you go back and look at our speeches, i would say we want to bring our troops back home from these endless wars. And were like a police force over there. We are policing. We are not fighting. We are policing. Were not a police force. We are the greatest military force ever assembled, because of what i have done over the last 2. 5 trillion, ith mr. Ambassador, we have spent on our military. 2. 5 trillion, but we are not going to be there longer. Were going to be watching turkey. And all of that them the other countries or some of the other countries, including the European Union, goes in and does whatever they are supposed to do with these captured isis fighters and families, ok . The number of intelligence, including nikki haley the number of republicans, nikki haley and Mitch Mcconnell are critical. Saying wish you would exercise leadership and we consider. Not doing so, would be run as of what the Obama Administration would do. Could you respond to them . Did you consult with a joint chiefs of staff . President trump i always consult with everybody. About eight months ago i talked about doing this and we kept 2000 people there. Then slowly brought them out. I do nottured isis, want to stay there for the next 40 years. The end game is going to be the same. I have Great Respect for all of the people that you named. They have their opinion, a lot of people do. I could also name many more that you just named of people that totally supported. People are extremely thrilled, because they say it is time to bring our people back home. We are not a police force. They are policing the area. We are not a police force. The u. K. Was very thrilled at this decision. As you know, they have soldiers over there, also. And others. But many people agree with us very strongly. And i understand both sides. But i ca campaigned on the fact that i was going to bring our soldiers home. And bring them home as rapidly as possible. Wewe, all together, you, weeated and took defeated and took over 100 of the isis caliphate. Everybody said that would be impossible. I did it and i did it quickly because we have a great military now. When i took over our military, we did not have ammunition. I was told by a top general, maybe the top of them all, s ir, im sorry, we do not have ammunition. I said, i will never let another president have that happen. We did not have ammunition. Now we have captured isis. We had 50 soldiers in the era you are talking about her and i said, we want to bring our soldiers back home. It has been a long time. Again, we were supposed to be in there for a tiny spot, a 30 to 90 day period. Its time. The kurds themselves have lost thousands of fighters. President trump weve lost a lot of fighters, too. Were going to try. If you look at some of the kurds, as you know, that is a natural enemy of turkey. Specifically, as i said. They have natural enemies. They have been fighting each other somebody said hundreds of years. I mean one historian said they had been fighting for hundreds of years. We interject ourselves into wars and we interject ourselves into tribal wars and revolutions and all of these things that are very, theyre not the kind of thing that you settle the way wed like to see it settled. Just doesnt work that way. Eut hopefully that will all b very strongly done. We are spending tremendous amounts of money. I can tell you the two countries that are most disappointed that we are leaving. Are china and russia. Because they love that were bog ged down and just watching and spending tremendous amount of of entering to build our forces. We have tremendous new weapons under development at we have weapons that nobody can even believe. We are going to be making some stops over the next four weeks. Some we show, some we dont show. We have rebuilt our nuclear. We have renovated and rebuild nuclear. We are building submarines, the likes of which they have never been even thought of before. The genius of them. Hopefully, and hope to god we never have to use them, but we are doing what we have to do. But weve been there for many years. Many, many, years beyond what were supposed to be. Not fighting, just there. Just there. Come backime to home. But i can understand the other side could if you go by the other side, that means we should never, ever come home. We should never, ever come home. I have to sign letters often to parents of young soldiers that were killed. And its the hardest thing i have to do in this job. I hate it. I hate it. Afghanistan. I signed one the other day, iraq. Syria. They get blown up by mines. They get taken out by a sniper. And i have to write letters to people. We make each letter different. Each person is different. We make them personal but. You matter what you do it is devastating the families will never be the same. People are killed. Many people are still being killed. Going to go on that way for perhaps a longtime. And were willing to do what we have to do, but there has to be an end game. Nd, if you stay, it is going to be the same thing, eventually you have to leave. It will be the same thing. Nk what were doing is the right thing to a lot of people agree with me. You go back and see my speeches, a big part of my speech and always when i won what some people consider to be a surprise election, how i just see a poll where i amaeme out up massively with independent voters. I do not know if it is this or if it is because of the hoax going on with nancy pelosi and her friend adam schiff. Hes another beauty. Lying all over the place. He is a mess. And Everybody Knows it. All you have to do is a little reporting. He is a total mess because he got caught at we have to do the right thing for our country. I think that is the right thing did i respect both opinions. The problem with the other opinion is when do we leave . Were going to stay there forever . Yeah, jeff . The White House Counsels Office is preparing a letter to Speaker Pelosi about the impeachment inquiry. President trump first of all the impeachment inquiry is a scam. The conversation that i have with the ukrainian president zel ensky, was a very cordial, very good conversation. The mistake they made, the opponents, the opposition, the democrats, the radical left, deep state, what ever you want to call them, they came out with a whistleblower report be saw fore they saw the conversation. Had they waited one day, nancy pelosi would not have made a fool out of her selfcare when she saw, she said this is not what the whistleblower said. Nicevery, very, congenial conversation with a man that i like. We ran on corruption. As you know, ukraine is known as a very corrupt country, one of the most in the world. Shockingly, because i know ukrainian people. But it is known as one of the most corrupt countries. Under the past leadership it was having a lot of difficulty, this gentleman, the current president , the new president ran on the basis of anticorruption. E think it was his singl biggest thing. And we had a great conversation. It was not reported that way. I think it is terrible to have to release a letter that you had with the leader of a country. I think it is a terrible precedent. But the whistleblower report, or whatever the news was was so off, so horrible. I said, i never said that. I said, let me see it. We have a stenographer report. We have a very, very word for word report of what i said. I released it. And almost everybody that read it said it is either perfect for really very good but it is a very normal, nice conversation. And when you see that the president of ukraine, president zelensky said, there was no pressure put on me whatsoever. His spokesman came out two days ago, said there was no pressure put on th president e. There was no pressure put on. All you have to do is read the report. Problem is i released it a day after they had already made a big statements. And again, it is a big scam. And i think adam schiff should be investigated for what he did. He took to the great chamber, congress, and he made a speech. And his speech was a fraud. Everything he said was a fraud. He went out as though i wrote it. He defrauded the american people. He defrauded congress. He defrauded himself and his family. H made a speeche, it was a horrible speech. I said, what is going on here . I think he is having some kind of a breakdown. He got up and made a speech that bore no relationship to what the conversation was. A lot of people heard that speech and a lot people thought that is what i said because they heard his speech because they are not going to read a three or four page conversation. They do not have access to it. But i thought it was one of the, i thought it was a terrible thing where hes going up speaking as the president of the United States saying things that i never said. And the meaning was horrible. The whole thought was horrible. Then the whistleblower, he did, through his committee, to himself, he met with the whistleblower. They never said that. They never talked about it. And nancy pelosi knew all of this stuff. She is as guilty as he is because she knew all that. She knew everything about it and she did not do anything about it. Uldl tell you what, they sho really be looked at very strongly, because what they did is unthinkable. What they did to this country is unthinkable. Its lucky im president because i guess, a lot of people said, very few people could handle it. I sort of thrive on it. You know why . Because it is so important we get to the bottom. We went to the whole mueller scam. 2. 5 years. We went through that. Days, where four was like over and then i am walking into the United Nations and the released it as im walking in, mr. Ambassador. Im walking in. Im going to meet with, i want name but one of the top leaders of the world. The screen up on about this scam called impeachment. You cant impeach a president for doing a great job. You cant impeach a president for having the lowest and best on a climate numbers we have had in 51 years. You cant impeach a president for tax cuts and regulation cuts and creating. Even the ambassador would say the struggles economy in the world. We have the storm of the economy in the world. This is a scam. And the people are wise to it. That is why my polls went up, i think they said 17 points in the last two or three days. Ive never had that one. Ive never had that one. So, think it is very sad for our country. I think it makes it harder for me to do my job. But i do my job. Anybody it better than elses done it for the first to an fears based on results when you look at the unemployment and the employment numbers. 0 Million People work at today we signed a deal japan, which is such an honor. All right. You are just listening to u. S. President trump at the white house. Ostensibly this was a press conference about a japanese u. S. Trade deal. He talked about china. He says he was a pretty big deal pure with the chinese and he does not want to settle for a partial to. He also talked about the situation in hong kong, saying the present xi should meet with the hong kong protesters. He also said there should be humane solution there are he also defended the situation to withdraw u. S. Troops from that northern section of syria. And he finished off by talking quite a bit about the impeachment inquiry, calling it a scam. At thee interestingly, same time assisting his press conference we got some breaking news regarding u. S. Commerce department that will place 28 chinese Public Security companies on a u. S. Trade eracklist, surrounding uigh muslim ethnic minorities, the treatment of them in china. Shes here to tell us the applications. Hikvision is one of the companies. How important is this before the trade negotiations . It is basically what happened to huawei. Although fair to say they have also received a temporary waver that allows American Farm to do business with huawei. This is not necessarily anything new because we have heard last Year Congress looking at legislation to put these firms on a blacklist, talking about the treatment of uighers. Senator ted cruz saying these company now only run counter to u. S. Foreign policy but the values of americans. I thought it was interesting that the Trump Administration put it out there because they were criticized before for not involving this in the traded negotiations with regards to the situation going on with the uighers. They put the summer before the trade negotiations come here. Shery ahn it is hard not to draw a link, but i bet that when officials come out they will say they are not linked. Officially, the line we have heard so far. But these are chinese tech companies, surveillance companies. Congress has looked into them for quite a while. Caroline great to get your expertise.
