Bloomington celebrates ties to Lincoln, reveals 'Lincoln Funeral Train Marker'

Abraham Lincoln built a connection with the City of Bloomington more than 150 years ago. Tuesday was the 157th anniversary of when Lincoln’s body was transported through Bloomington to Springfield on the train named, “The Lincoln Special,” and dozens of people gathered for the reveal of the new “Lincoln Funeral Train Marker” in honor of the 16th president's impact on Bloomington.
