SHERIFF ALEX VILLANUEVA/ LOS ANGELES COUNTY: "HE ACTUALLY AT THE SCENE HE MADE NO COMMENTS REGARDING THAT, HE WASN'T QUESTIONED. AT THE HOSPITAL HE WAS ASKED BY THE INVESTIGATORS AND HE HAD NO RECOLLECTION OF THE CRASH ITSELF." WOODS UNDERWENT A LONG EMERGENCY SURGERY ON HIS LOWER RIGHT LEG AND ANKLE AT THE HARBOR-U-C-L-A MEDICAL CENTER. THE SHERIFF SAYS THERE IS NO SIGN OF IMPAIRMENT OR INTOXICATION AND THE CRASH IS BEING TREATED AS AN ACCIDENT. AUTHORITIES IN CALIFORNIA HAVE ORDERED A SAFETY REVIEW FOR THE STRETCH OF ROAD WHERE TIGER WOODS CRASHED.
