The first week to pick up qualifying papers for the next election has seen more than a few potential candidates show up to the Washington County Election Commission Office.
Oct. 16 was the first day that partisan and independent candidates for assessor of property, three seats in District 2 for the county’s Board of Education and for constable in Districts 1, 2 and 3 in Washington County could pick up their qualifying papers to appear on Tennessee’s March 5 presidential primary ballot.
