The South Dakota Foundation for Medical Care is asking frontline healthcare workers to take a survey aimed at improving training around infection control.
Project Firstline, an initiative from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention operating alongside 64 state, local and territorial health departments, will use data from the surveys to look for gaps in current training on infectious disease control that could be improved, to aid in addressing both COVID-19 and other diseases.
Charlotte Hofer, communications director for Project Firstline in South Dakota, said that they're interested in hearing from anyone from healthcare workers and firefighters to pharmacists and epidemiologists through the surveys.
