This is the first time in decades both schools have faced off in Shreveport.
Gearing up includes the Port City Fest with three days of food, fun, and activities to showcase Shreveport's rich culture and the heritage of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Here's how things will go:
- The Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce will kick off the weekend with the Classic Expo at the Shreveport Convention Center from April 15– 17 highlighting local businesses. This event will feature panel discussions on topics ranging from education to politics.
- Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins' Golf Invitational Tournament, April 16 at Querbes Park Golf Course will provide scholarships to students attending Grambling State University and Southern University.
