Council gives nod to ActiveTO return — with Lake Shore W. closures

A motion tabled by Mayor John Tory permitted the closure of the popular route on ‘select weekends.’
Other closures planned for ActiveTO include Lake Shore Blvd. E. between Leslie and Woodbine, along Bayview Ave. between Rosedale Valley Rd. and Mill St, and River St. between Gerrard St. E and Bayview Ave.
Councillor Stephen Holyday tabled a motion that if the program were to return to Lake Shore West that staff should explore modifications to allow access to parking lots for those wishing to visit the area by car.
