Stafford Borough Council is to share a chief executive with a neighbouring authority on a temporary basis – despite concerns he will have to divide his time between the two areas.
Tim Clegg is set to become interim joint chief executive of the Stafford authority and Cannock Chase Council for an initial period of 14 months. The move follows the departure of Cannock Chase's former managing director – equivalent to a chief executive – Tony McGovern at the end of February.
