Court news: Woman sentenced for voting before her civil rights were restored

On Nov. 8, 2020, the woman voted in the general election in the village of White Earth in Becker County. Her civil rights had not been restored. A Becker County Sheriff’s Office investigator spoke with her by telephone about the Nov. 8, 2020 election, and she admitted that she voted that day and that she knew her civil rights had not yet been restored, according to court records.
