Clarksville NowThe vaccine is not available to the general public yet.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A signup webpage has been circulating in Clarksville claiming to allow any and all residents to begin registering for a COVID-19 vaccination as soon as Wednesday, but officials say that signup sheet was not supposed to be shared with anyone other than healthcare providers and clinics.
This signup link was only supposed to stay between those who are licensed clinics or healthcare providers who fall under phases 1a1 and 1a2 on the priority distribution plan, according to Montgomery County Health Department Director Joey Smith.
“Knowing that there’s people we knew to identify that’s in those 1a1 of the vaccine deployment, and 1a2 which are the healthcare providers, they sent an email out to all licensed healthcare providers and clinics… The Tennessee Department of Health said you’re in phase 1a1 or 1a2, you could start registering to come a vaccine,” Smith said.
