Cruising with Claus: Lubbock's Santa Land returns, drive-through style

This year's COVID-19 concerns hasn't stopped Santa Claus, his reindeer and elves from returning to the Hub City for a Christmas tradition. 
Lubbock's annual Santa Land officially began its 13-day run Thursday evening, this year with a drive-through style tour to avoid large crowds and ensure public safety.
The free, annual, holiday tradition is scheduled to continue nightly through Dec. 23 in Mackenzie Park.
In its 64th year, the annual event will be open nightly from 6-10 p.m. 
Santa Land tourists can enter the park off East Broadway at the Bayer Museum of Agriculture and proceed northwest toward Joyland Amusement Park. Cesar E. Chavez Drive will be a one-way road from Broadway toward the north.
