Well, i look forward to being back with you tomorrow morning. Early this morning outside of my apartment in virginia, there was an incident unrelated to me. But shots were fired, so i ended up having to shelterinplace. Involved the officers and as it happened, it was 5 45 a. M. This morning. So ended up having a late start. I look forward to being back with you and others. I had to cancel my tv hits this morning based on that. [inaudible] mark it was arlington police. It was an event that was unrelated to me, but with shots fired in close proximity to my apartment. [inaudible] excited and very hopeful for the confirmation of one of the most qualified judges that ive had the opportunity to get to know on a personal basis. We are excited about the confirmation that we will hopefully have on the senate floor this afternoon. Happens, we expect for a swearingin to happen later this evening. I think the American People will be well served with an independent mind from a very thatqualified individual is a great testimony to those that stay engaged, love, and admire the rule of law. You think thisdo confirmation vote will have on the Election Senate races and the president ial race . Mark listen, that is an independent body. Whenever anybody looks to go to the voting booth, they look for those senators that will confirm judges that largely uphold the rule of law. And that obviously breaks down sometimes along partisan lines. Sadly, it shouldnt. We should just look at the qualifications. In this particular case, there is no denying based on the hearing that weve had that judge barrett is a wellqualified candidate and deserves confirmation. [inaudible] your comment yesterday morning that we are not going to control the virus. He released a statement [indiscernible] waving a only person white flag along with his mask is joe biden. When we look at this, we will defeat the virus. We are not going to control it. We will try to contain it as best we can. If you look at the full context of what i was talking about, we need to make sure that we have therapeutics and vaccines. We need to make sure that when people get sick, that they have the kind of therapies that the president of the United States has that we can provide. Those emergency use authorizations will hopefully be coming in very short order. On ae very hopeful, based number of conversations, that vaccines are just a few weeks away. We are in preparation for that. At the same time, we have a National Lockdown strategy. It is proposed by the left and not effective. It is not what will ultimately contain or control this virus. Any suggestion that we are waving the white flag is certainly not in keeping with this president. He doesnt give up and he will not give up until all americans are safe and we have defeated this virus. Go ahead. From their stronghold, what do you think of that [indiscernible] mark since both of my children live in the metropolitan area, i know it will be an uphill battle for joe biden. We will win the state of georgia and we will win my home state of north carolina. We will win florida. And where joe biden is all of a sudden starting to come out and campaign, there should be panic for him. I can tell you right now that we are crisscrossing all over this country. We are asking the American People for their vote and doing. He very best we can there is one campaign that will put America First and that is of the president of the United States, donald trump. [inaudible] mark any time there is an outbreak with the coronavirus, we are concerned. But not just with white house officials. The real key for this is that all americans need to do what they can to make sure that the risks are mitigated. Whether that is social distancing like we are doing now or wearing a mask where appropriate when you cant do that. But the fact is, as we look at this, it is a critical time in momsountry where there are right now that are tuned in right now saying, what am i going to do with my kids . When will they get to go back to school . Business people are saying, i am closed down. How am i going to deal with this . There has only been one person willing to address that in a meaningful way, and that is the president of the United States. We will continue to do that and at the same time, try to mitigate the risk that comes along with this china virus that came to us through no fault of our own and certainly no fault of the American People. [inaudible] mark i think that was in flux. I think there were reports of that but i do not know what the Vice President s plans are for the senate tonight. Given the fact that there is eventbreak and the last turned into a super spreader, is it responsible to have one tonight . The very first event, while there have been a lot of connections made with who was at the event and who came down with it, we have been able to look at that and track as many as three different areas where the virus actually infected different people within the white house. It did not all come from that particular event. Tonight, were doing the best we can to encourage is much social distancing as possible. If it goesoutdoors off as planned right now. Testingl continue to do in and around those that are critical to the mission to try to get there. Again, all of these things are wonderful things that we are able to deploy. But the key is, weve got to defeat this. Weve got to come up with therapeutics and vaccines. And we are doing that in record time. This president is doing that in record time. And yet, it is still an uncertain aspect for many of us that have to deal with that each and every day. The president has been very a 24 houressing me on seven day a week basis to try to make sure that we cut through the red tape to get it done. [indiscernible] taken a or anyone here vaccine or been offered one . Mark i have not taken the vaccine. Honestly, i have probably been at risk of contracting the coronavirus more than most just in and around my normal activities and having to stay engaged just for the nature of my job. For us, we are trying to prioritize several different groups. First responders and healthcare workers that are there. Those that are most at risk. Longterm care. I know weve identified a number of people in longterm care, trying to get that group most at mortality riskf and prioritizing those. Any vaccine that would be offered, i think it would be very inappropriate for me to take it before a number of those individuals are potentially more in harms way than myself. Anything else .
