More problems in our classrooms with the boys and girls still i started seeing that ultimately in the 14 years of research i did for the crisis but therere were about 56 of the largest developed nations were having problems with the boys falling behind in all of the academic subjects but especially reading and writing, the two biggest for success. So i started saying i is there something bigger going on. I sold the developed nations had enough mastery survival to allow permission for families who had divorces and women to raise children without any father involvement. I started looking at those populations and foun have foundn there were divorces children didnt do much worse because that had almost no fatherth involvement or no father involvement at first. They were the boy crisis. The single mother groups the same thing was true. The single biggest cause was that it resides where fathers do not reside. Crisissay that its the number one of education. Boys are falling behind in all major subjects including reading and writing, dropping out of school to a much greater degree than the old days and this was pointed out on 60 minutes, the two big crisis americans to worry about one as the cyber warfare crisis and the other is the crisis of young men. The problem in education is that the Education System isnt preparing boys for jobs in technology nearly as quickly. In the old days boys that were not academic they would use their muscle but now the world has moved from muscle to microchips and mental. In japan 30 of the students going to Vocational Education areas and 99. 6 percent dont get jobs after they graduate. In the United States have huge percentages of boys who dont have any channeling into Vocational Education. Its been cut back when it bshould be increased so boys ae experiencing aoy lack of purpose dropping out of high school and the Unemployment Rate in their 20s is 22 to 23 which is about six times than that of the nation of the whole. Can it be that girls are Getting Better . Girls are Getting Better but those that do not have dads are not benefiting from the normal evolution of goals is doing better. We are living in an era i was extremely supportive of all the feminist Movement Encouragement of options but now when girls and boys become men and women wn fathers and mothers and they have children often times the women say i have three choices off should want is to raise children and option two is to raise money, option three is to be combination of both. Guys say i have three options, raise money, raise money and raise money. They often feel if they dont work fulltime and they will not be worthy as a father when in fact we have thousands or millions of women who want to be successful in their careers but also want to have both raised children and a good marriage if they are missing is an enormous percentage of men with really 49 of men who were very nginterested in taking care of children even fulltime but women dont tend to be looking for men who want to raise children fulltime so we have a gap between women who want to focus on their career and if they dont want a man to focus on raising the children than they will not have children that are well raised because the children that dont have a lot of mother involvement and his fathers drop out of the picture those are the ones where theres real problems. When the crisis came out, my pr people put it out to hundreds of little mainstream networks and hundreds of conservative networks and freedom Oriented Networks and 95 of our interviews came from enormous responsiveness and only about 5 came from democrats. It has become a political issue. The good news is i went to iowa and interviewed seven of the president ial candidates and when they were educated about this, there was a fair amount of receptivity. Cause they are going around the country listening, they are saying that theres a large number of way boys that are doig well and almost all our dad deprived. They are aware that there is Mass Shootings that they are not aware that about 90 of them took place by boys who were dad deprived. They are aware of the prison population problem but not aware that 90 of the children are also dad deprived and they are aware certainly of isis that they are not aware that both the boys and girls that come isis recruits have deprivation as well, so im hoping that im educating the democrats but im also working with veterans white house and administration to try to create a a whit White House Council on boys and men so that there will be a issue when the public agenda in addition to girls and womens issues. I have a problem with there being a council for women and girls, just a problem with oneonononeonone integrals at boys and men especially when boys and men are committing a suicide at four times the rate of girls and women, showing signs of destructive and selfdestructive behavior on so many fronts. With a great lack of concern and the reason is historically in order to be a real man you have to prepare yourself to be disposable in more and work 60 or 70 hours a week at the executive level position and so the reason we care about that and call them heroes they were willing to die for the rest of us. But when you train people to die then you cannot be emotionally attached to their health. Some boys have historically developed heroic intelligence training for a short life as opposed to Health Intelligence which is training for a long life. And Emotional Intelligence and then to talk about them in the healthy way. So this is a great opportunity and those who have their old sense of purpose and combined with the dad void so they dont have the father to guide them to have the discipline to have that purpose in their life and then they will become the failure to launch and ashamed of themselves and angry at people who are not paying attention to them and giving them praise like teachers instead of male or female peers so they have a lack of purpose that they get depressed and withdraw into video games and they dont want to be rejected because pornography is an access to women without fear of rejection may get addicted because the dopamine goes up so they can do more risky things with women so maybe they meet a woman to be sexual and then treated like an object because she is treated like an object so that increases the shame and anger and that is the background of the mass shooters in a desperate way. I will make people regret that they did not worry about me or talk about me or care about me. You have statistics in your book that the mass shooters overall white. Yes my wife accuses me to be obsessivecompulsive but because of those things that are different than a normally heard it not only made headlines but in the case of mass shooters rubbed on the research. That sense of purpose you referenced early is that in our dna . I think the question isd yes. So that women at all so among the animal population that has sex and reproducing with the alpha male. So all of these meals including human beings for them to be sexual with and reproduce with. They are almost always attracted but to get the biggest rack and with that sense of purpose becomes the alpha male into reproduce and be attracted and now you have the elk with the biggest rack he loses 33 percent so immediately has to get rid of it or he is highly likely to die if the winter comes too isoon and cannot replenish all of those nutrients. So that is the story ofst masculinity when the purpose is to be the alpha male that the weaknesses the facade of the strength. But that rack was the weakness but it was functional to achieve the purpose to create the next generation. Adhd is on the increase and probably over recognized in males. And so now we say what we should be saying and that they did Research Control and that does it take away from the trial monday from the trial toe study but that was more functional than each minute studying for a test. That is much more true for boys. So the schools have responded by doing less recess and less education and having fewer male teachers to focus and be motivated and the emphasis on boys doing things rather than just rehearsing things and learning with curiosity. We give them medication instead of a different type of medic tatian also adhd when children are raised predominantly by dad dads, only 15 percent have adhd but raised predominantly by moms, 30 percent have adhd and the reasons for that is dads are far more likely to be engaged with boundary enforcements so dad and mom will set boundaries the same way you cant have i. Cream until you finish that children will test those boundaries but the differences in the way momsth and dads and they will say i know you dont want your peas but have this many more and then separate half and then you can have it. And then now has a half number now i tried half can i have i. C. E. Cream now that it went to get in a fight over peace. And then dad says no. So what they are learning is they cannot have what they want and tell they are focusing their attention on doing what they need to do and then they manipulate a better deal. And then tell that postpone gratification with the biggest predictor of success and also the biggest predictor and whether its a player for the Basketball Team and thats what prevents them from going into depression and then to go down that worstcase scenario anger and withdrawal and then the mass shooting. The failure to launch inside of him he has it but not that postpone gratification. And often very encouraging. But when boy does it and goes after their dreams they dont have the discipline to rehearse on the Basketball Team to get them to fulfill the dream and then to become disappointed in themselves and ashamed in their cells and afraid to dream. I consider myself liberal so part of what i thought i was part of that make sure people were included to have freedom for women without concern. I am still a favor of freedom for women but the second they make the choice to have children that the children needs to be put first. But if you choose to do that then you choose to give up the choice to make your personal freedom more important. And you also talk about the cost of the boy crisis. My estimate is 1 trillionma per year and then to protect against isys with the cost of prisons and increased in the prison population and the cost to maintain those prisoners those who are draining taxpayer dollars if we think about the Mass Shootings in they security we are engaged in and they are farat more likely than not having jobs themselves and have children out of wedlock and doing that over a period of years by not paying attention to the boy across it on crisis. Science is found at the age of nine and a half the longer your telomeres your Life Expectancy would be about 14 percent longer. So they look at the telomeres of children who had a lot of father involvement from thosee who didnt and of all the variables the most important was fathere involvement in children at the age of nine and a half minimal or no father involvement on average telomeres were 13 percent shorter than those with significant involvement. Then they divided male and female and then 40 percent shorter. Leading to a Life Expectancy of 16 or 17 percent shorter at the age of nine and a half.
