The emergency Economic Injury disaster loan program, the loan and grant program, we have no provided 7 million for the program. Heres the issue. We had to adjust most of this programs without even knowing all of the specifics on how the first amount of money was distributed. And we are hearing there were going to be getting out of money again soon. In the congress is going to be asked to make additional changes they still now the specifics on how this money was distributed. We are all frustrated here. I really appreciate the leadership. Another term is on the floor, is been demanding this information is beenn able to not get it. Not going to pass without having specific information. Senator schumer is absolutely right on the first round, that those who had preferred relationships with Banking Institutions got priority. Sen. Ben cardin that we know we dont know how much. Im concerned about underserved communities getting their fair share of the self. Yet we do not have the specifics on the number of minority Small Businesses. The number of women out at Small Businesses. And veteran owned Small Businesses. And how well they have done. We need to have that information in order to make the next judgment in this congress and yes we do need transparency. Have even heard from this administration that there may very well have been, Small Businesses who do not qualify for this loan that have gotten help read or have their own ability to handle this crisis but yet still ask the government for these funds. Not only did we pass and that first cares patch package, 360 billion to help Small Business but just a couple of weeks ago, Congress Also came together to pass an additional 370 million for the paycheck p Protection Program and Economic Injury disaster programs. And in passing, the legislation was sold deliberately to Small Businesses that are truly part. Small business are the lifeblood of this economy nationally and certainly in New Hampshire where 99 percent of her businesses are considered Small Business. Es they employ over 50 percent of the New Hampshire workforce. In New Hampshire, 20000 and nonprofits have received over to have billion dollars in low interest forgivable loans under the Paycheck Protection Program. Sen. Jeanne shaheen there have been challenges. We have heard some of the stories from Small Businesses that were not able to access the system because some larger businesses got to the queue ahead of them. Some of this large probably traded companies who have ah relationship with the lender and so they were able to get an early. We need information if we were going to correct the things that have not been working about this program. That is why the legislation that the senators and i introduced income i think would be so helpful. The trumpum administration and Congress Need to be held accountable for implementation of these programs. Do that, but have oversight. But have transparency is fundamental. We need to ensure that the assistance is going to Small Businesses, nonprofits needed the most. And the senator, listed off a number of those companies.
