Danger as Osun town succumbs to open defecation - Daily Post Nigeria

Report from Gbongan, a very popular town and headquarters of Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State is that open defecation is slowly becoming the norm for some households.
DAILY POST reliably gathered that many houses within the town which is strategically located on the Ibadan-Ife-Akure expressway are without toilet facilities and running water.
According to some complainants, most of the houses in the town have become old and going by their design, toilet facilities are lacking and occupants go to relieve themselves in the surrounding bushes.
Some houses with dilapidated toilets only use them when it is convenient and when conditions don’t warrant its use, it is sealed off temporarily.
