Davao City planning to erect monument for Datu Bago

A DAVAO City councilor revealed that the city government is planning to erect a monument of Datu Bago, the city’s hero who fought against the Spaniards.
Councilor Pilar Braga, committee chairperson on education, science, and technology, said in a radio interview on Thursday, March 11, 2021, that the city is coming up with a statue depicting the heroism of Datu Bago.
Braga said the city is still looking for a site for the statue. Among the locations they are choosing from is somewhere in Bolton Riverside in Ecoland, Matina, and a portion along the Davao City Coastal Road.
