The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and DEC are seeking information on the shooting of a bald eagle with a high-caliber rifle in Broome County.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of an individual or individuals involved in the killing of a bald eagle with a large-caliber rifle in Broome County earlier this month.
The incident and the reward involving the dead raptor were mentioned in the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s weekly summary of incidents involving state Environmental Conservation Officers (ECOs) throughout the state.
