WASHINGTON, DC – Compass Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today authorized a strike should negotiations with management fail to reach an agreement that can be ratified. The strike was authorized by an overwhelming 94 percent of participating Flight Attendants. Compass is a Delta Connection carrier.
“Compass Airlines Flight Attendants have built a solid reputation as the Best in Class flying partner for Delta, achieving top spots in Delta’s performance matrix consistently for several years. However, Compass Flight Attendants earn between $14,000 and $19,000 a year. Today’s results show that even in the face of challenging management tactics for several years, Flight Attendants stand proud and united. We are sending a clear message to management that we will do whatever it takes to get a fair contract, one that includes a living wage. We will continue to provide the premier level of service we provide to Delta’s flying public,” said Catriona Bagley, AFA Compass President.
