Sky has given us some juicy hints on what to expect from the new season, which will see Diana and Matthew "hiding in time in the fascinating and treacherous world of Elizabethan London".
The pair are on a mission to find a witch teacher who can help Diana control her magic, while also hunting the mysterious Book of Life.
Viewers can expect to see a new relationship blossom between Matthew's vampire son Marcus Whitmore (Edward Bluemel) and new arrival Phoebe, who is a human.

A Discovery of Witches series 2 premieres on Friday, January 8 in the UK. All episodes are available on Sky and NOW TV from that date – and for those that prefer linear viewing it will air on Sky One weekly on Fridays at 9pm.
