A manhunt has resumed today as police scour bushland and creeks in bid to find a man and woman who authorities fear is still armed with a machete.
Police have warned people to not approach a man they say is "dangerous".
It comes after his alleged involvement in a violent crime spree including the serious assault on a group of teenagers.
Kendall Arthur Poole, 38, is believed to be camping in bush with a 38-year-old woman in the Coochin Creek area.
Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch officer-in-charge Detective Senior Sergeant Daren Edwards said it was "more than likely" that Poole was still armed with the weapon.
