The AMA has outlined a blueprint for fixing Australia’s fractured health system as doctors aim to learn the health lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic.
AMA Vice President Dr Chris Moy spoke with Sky News about the association’s blueprint, saying coronavirus has “taught us a few things”.
“We can do stuff like implement telehealth quickly, but also a whole number of things, that health advice and also proper investment in health is actually an investment, not a cost,” he said.
“If you really think about it, Australia’s plan in the end has sort of not only saved Australian lives and protected Australian but it’s also helped the economy.”
