Experts identify hundreds of U.S. military personnel killed at Pearl

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Nebraska: Following six years of forensic work, the remains of more than 338 U.S. sailors and Marines have been identified after they died when the USS Oklahoma sank during the attack on Pearl Harbor 79 years ago.
The work to identify the dead was performed by experts at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska.
The project sought to identify 388 members of the military who went missing when the USS Oklahoma capsized during the attack on December 7, 1941. Following six years, the remains of 338 have been identified.
