STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- This was an interrupted year in so many ways. When people stopped entering each other’s homes and started social distancing, I had to rethink what is cool about home spaces from the outside.
Of the topics highlighted this year, my favorite stories were; the architect Ernest Flagg, the mansard rooftops, Tudor homes, front porches (where we spent most of our days in 2020), and one we got inside before the pandemic, Casa Belvedere.
I encourage getting on your warmest winter coats, masks, and boots and walking around your neighborhood this winter to take a look at the different styles of architecture that you live around.
