Months of talk, uk and eu have reached terms, the agreement paving the way for further talks including a trade deal, we will break down the compromise coming up this morning. In asia markets higher, gains across the board, best performer was japan, nikkei average up one and a third percent. Thousands evacuated as wild fires are raging out of control. Its unbelievable. I mean, it hurts because ive never seen anything like this. My dad has been a firefighter for 35 years, thats why ive got the hat and you just you dont expect things like this, i was expecting this year to see snow in the mountain and now the thing is on fire. Maria very latest as firefighters do everything they can to battle the unprecedented blaze. The final push for the senate, President Trump traveled to florida today as he looks to help drum up support of republican roy moore, fox business is taking you live to coverage of president s rally, happens tonight in pensacola, florida, kicks off at 8 00 p. M. Eastern. Join us, shake in capitol franken and franks resigning following harassment claims. More on turmoil in washington just ahead. Plus steve harvey sued, the popular tv host accused of fraud involving a charity, his excuse, bad advice from oprah, all the stories coming up this morning and joining me to talk about fox business dagen mcdowell, Kings College business and economics professor Brian Brendberg and Staffing Division president courtney. Its not really the first friday of the month, the jobs report is out today. Brian biggest friday of the month. Biggest economic indicater. Maria yeah. Brian should be a good number. I think its going to be a good number too. Yeah. Maria the economy under President Trump, we are waiting for the number, out in two and a half hours, they also expect Unemployment Rate to hold steady at 4. 1 , a 17year low after thirdgrowth revised upward, thats a threeyear high, Consumer Confidence also hitting 17year high last month. Look, youve got solid economic reports, its been a very good year for President Trump economically speaking, dagen, how do you see it . Dagen and hes certainly been willing to tell the American People about it, i do not fault him, be careful about the stock market, you are going to see, its possible one thing im going to be watching for the Unemployment Rate maybe falling below 4 , getting in that starting with the 3 thats not the expectation, theres only one time the rate hadnt been below 4 since 1970. Thats excluding the year 2,000, prior to 2000, the rate had not fallen that low since 1970. I think that people do watch that number. Whats unemployment in the country, oh, it starts with a 3, i think that helps optimism. Maria Goldman Sachs said 2 and a half percent in 2019, thats a big deal. When you get to that rate, you really are at a point where the market is so tight, thats when you start to see big movement in wages because companies will have to start competing for talent, theyre already competing for talent, we hear it that the market is very tight, but if we see it dip below 4 , indicater that we will finally see wage. Brian youd expect to see that this hasnt happened. Brian you should be seeing much higher wage growth. Thats what we will be watching in jobs number. Maria Congress Passed a shortterm spending bill, government funded for two weeks with new shutdown deadline of december 22nd, development came after congressional leaders from both parties went to the white house to start talks on a longterm spending bill. We are all here as a very friendlywell unified group, we hope that we will make great progress for our country. I think that will happen and we appreciate it very much. Funding the government is extremely important, helping our soldiers is very important and helping average citizens is very important, so we are here in the spirit of lets get it done. Maria in addition to funding deadline december 22nd, we also have tax reform, thats to be done by christmas and infrastructure plan is expected to be unveiled next month, can they get all of this done, what do you think, dagen . Dagen they have to. [laughter] dagen there isnt a focus on getting things done in terms of 2018 midterm election, every action taken by every member of both parties is driven to november elections next year. The infrastructure package will be interesting as it begins to take shape like great works project is how someone referred to it, talking to me, particularly because President Trump wants infrastructure but that seems to be something that the democrats would get on board with but i think that their entire platform is just the platform of no at this point. Maria unless they get Real Movement in terms of daca, on what they want on immigration. Dagen everyone is in agreement that has to be taken care by the end of the year or by march when the daca expires, but im not convinced if you give them everything they want, they are not going to get on board with anything that give trumps a win, thats true. Maria it could be, they dont want to see the agenda executed. The big thing for the employers is definitely the Corporate Tax rate, though, that we are really watching to say and employers are talking about it too, they want to see whats going to happen with that and if its going to get done by tend of the year and would it be implemented in 2018 or is it going to wait until 2019, that is what all eyes are on. Brian the fact that they got a shortterm bill through the 22nd of december is an indication that Everyone Wants to get that done, its the freedom that said lets not do it by the 22nd, lets push it back so we can get a better deal on spending, they want to get tax reform done and pushed to 22nd. Maria exactly, youre seeing an economy thats anticipating a good economy in 2018, this tax plan is part of that. The expectation is that the tax plan will move the needle on Economic Growth, will, in fact, encourage businesses dagen if you put that chart on again of whats going on in terms of the stock market, employment, economy under President Trumps first year in office, this is incredible. Maria it is. Dagen stunning when you look at 17year low on Unemployment Rate, Consumer Confidence, a 17year high, people are feeling better, this is despite people with partisan bias in this country trying to talk down the economy. I was talking to mark penn yesterday, he said that is actually one of the democrats biggest problems, they actually try to talk down the economy. I think that hurt Hillary Clinton that she didnt again, she tried to run on change, well, quite frankly the economy and the stock market were not doing horribly under president obama, they needed to do better but, again, its like, oh, but we need a 15dollar minimum wage. Their whole platform on the economy is redistribution of wealth, raising taxes on the rich. Thats not prosperity and that does not represent the American Dream but this does. Maria and the Mainstream Media refuses to cover this. Thats part of the reason that the president is saying fake news because they are not covering the agenda and what has been the impact of that agenda. This is real news, this economy has had a phenomenal year. Dagen people in the media just tend to be sour pusses, that they look maria they hate him, they hate donald trump. Dagen they really do hate the president. I think that they are sour pusses, they look for whats wrong in the world than whats right. Maria unless attribute to president obama. Its a trump thing. Dagen now president obama is trying to take maria thank you, obama. Dagen he was speaking in chicago, taking credit for what the economy under his eight years and the stock market run, but, again, that goes to my point, the democrats always want they want people to feel bad about the country, they dont want they want because government is the solution. Maria uk and European Union have reached a deal of brexit divorce terms making way for new talks on a path. Lets talk about the deal, brian, because its significant, we have been back and forth, we actually see the specific deal in terms of britain leaving the European Union. Brian whats so significant people were questioning whether we were going to get this or not, they get this lastminute agreement, which means they can move onto trade, the big question in the uk, exports to eu so getting something done on trade is very important, now they they have the divorce pack in place they can move on. Thats good for Global Economy. We talk about Global Economy is driving growth both here and around the world. Its important part of the story. Absolutely, and then when we think about when we first heard of them leaving the eu there was so much concern of what was going to happen and you look it really has had more of a positive impact, so, you know, very different from when we first heard the news months ago. Maria i would say the u. S. Is driving the action, yes, we have the first time synchronized Global Growth but the u. S. Is the leading force here. Brian its a big piece here. Everything is firing in all cylinders right now. The euuk agreement is very important as part of that. Maria for sure. Keep it right here at fox business, we have jobs in america coverage, we will take a look at where the jobs are and where the jobs may be moving with the tax plan as well. We will look at industries but also geographies this morning when we take a look at where jobs are today in america. First, though, coming up, intense flames making wild fires in Southern California almost impossible for firefighters to contain, very latest and destruction coming up. Unemployment at historic lows but the Technology Sector may be heading for employment crisis, we will take a future look at hiring for Tech Startups right here back in a minute. Com maria welcome back, wild fires fanned by pewerful santa ana winds burning out of control right now in Southern California. Cheryl casone with the details and headlines now, cheryl. Cheryl yeah, maria, six large fires have destroyed more than 400 homes and several large structures, 2,000 people in los angeles in ventura counties have been told to leave their homes. And then take a look at this, smoke from wild fires captured in nasa satellite image, astounding, california governor jerry brown has declared a president ial Emergency Declaration to bring in federal assistance u fastmoving wild fire hitting popular horse trading facility. Look at this, several horses reportedly died and many horses there were injured basically the trainers left them out and had them run because of the fires. Well, another headlines this morning, senator al franken making it official and resigning from the senate in the coming weeks following multiple claims of sexual misconduct, calling tit worst day of political life but also taking shot at President Trump and alabama gop Senate Candidate roy moore, listen. I know in my heart that nothing i have done as a senator, nothing has brought this honor on this institution and i am confident that the Ethics Committee would agree. I i am all people am aware in the irony in the fact that i am leaving while a man who has bragged on tape about his history of Sexual Assault sits in the oval office and a man who has repeated preyed on young girls campaigns for the senate with a full support of his party. Cheryl well, Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton who is also a democrat will appoint a temporary replacement for franken and arizona gop congressman trent frank also resigning due to Sexual Harassment allegation, he will step down in january after asking two women on his staff if they would be a surrogate mother. Roy moore is hoping for a trump bump before alabama votes for next senator, em beatled republican candidate accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct, one of them 14 years old. Hes glad that the president is holding Campaign Rally in pensacola, florida, just a short drive from the alabamaflorida state line. Voters in alabama will choose between moore and democratic candidate doug jones, thats going to be tuesday fox business will have full coverage by the way President Trumps rally tonight, that starts at 8 00 p. M. Eastern time. And ahead of the president s rally in florida tonight, an art teacher displaying antitrump art exhibit at pensacola state college. Shortly after trumps win, made air brushed tshirts with slogan that slam the president and featuring quotes from trump, i alone can fix it, 2016 republican convention. The news continues, maria. Those are your headlines. Maria all right, cheryl, we will come back to you shortly with more breaking news, incredible, another resignation out of congress. Dagen congressman franks and al frankens speech that he gave yesterday was something that looked like it was directed by david lynch, it was so bizarre because he said that he says that essentially he didnt do anything wrong, he said that some of the allegations are simply not true, others i remember differently, im a champion of women, i think that the Ethics Committee would vindicate me and went after opponents and by the way, nevertheless, im going to even though i behaved with honor i am going to be resigning, this is a political move, hes being pushed out by women of his party, chased out of washington, d. C. By fellow democrats for their own political gains. Maria the moral ground now. Dagen they want to hang roy moore, i said this yesterday, they want to hang around roy moore issue around the neck of every republican and they chased al franken out and you know what, he would have been better off staying in the job and if hes really he says that he never did anything, his problem the photo out there. Maria theres nothing here when we have the picture. Do you think, though, obviously all of the democrats pushing him out is trying to create a statement, we are holding our side to the standards dagen also gets nancy pelosi cling to the job of speaker if the democrats win the house in midterms because shes a women, people are trying to push her out because of her age and ideas are tired and she has no sense of the rest of the country other than san francisco, but shes going to cling to that because shes a lady. Maria now shes going to grab the women champion quote. Dagen if i hear another person say im a champion of women, comes down to respecting other women and treating them with grace every single day, cant say that about other people i have worked with. Maria incredible that the say are champion and have no problem harassing some women that they dont agree with them and threatening them. They cant give a simple apology like senator franken couldnt do yesterday. Maria thats true too. Toasting to tesla and how busch wants to deliver beer in automakers semitruck, good idea . Then a man allegedly hired to get Steve Harveys charity on track is sue suing the comedian, it might be Oprah Winfreys fault he says coming up. Maria welcome back to top story, november jobs report due in about two hours, economists are looking about 200,000 now jobs. Futures this morning ahead of the report look pretty good, take a look at futures indicating a gain about 50 points in Dow Jones Industrial average. Nasdaq and s p 500 also higher this morning ahead of the numbers. Joining us right now hank smith, cochief investment officer, always a pleasure. Good to be with you. Maria you think theres more runway for the market . Absolutely. The backdrop is very strong, you have the u. S. Economy growth accelerating, Global Growth accelerating. Next year theyre only going to be six Countries Worldwide thats in recession, thats a record low. Maria rarity. Profits growth strong here and abroad and benign inflation and lowInterest Rates. From a fundamental basis it cant get any better. From a sentiment basis, theres still an anxiety out there, we are finally shifting toward the optimistic phase but we are no where near the phase. Maria speculative . I dont know if you see a clops in bitcoin and other crypto currencies, whether that will have an impact in the stock market, i dont think so. But fun flows dont suggest this mad rush into equities that you normally see in the late stages of a bull market at all. In fact, fun flows continue to fixed incomes over equities and thats unusual. Maria fascinating. Brian lets say the unemployment falls below 4 , does that kick Federal Reserve in high gear and does that surprise the market, a new fed chair, is that baking into the market right now . We would have the same exact conversation at 5 , at 4. 5 and yet there hasnt been any inflation of wage, modest wage growth but nothing that gets you worried like 3 and a half, 4 wage growth that tends to be inflationary. So i think the Federal Reserve is going to be looking at inflation more than the Employment Level at this point. Hank, you spoke about sentiment and how positive it is. We saw Consumer Confidence at 17year high, in the report ceo confidence went down 2 points, that was the one indicater that i thought, thats not a good sign. Maria i dont believe it. Surprising to me that it was in there. But its still elevated. Every measure of confidence spiked after the election, Small Business confidence, ceo confidence, Consumer Confidence and theyve remained elevated. Perhaps that most recent ceo confidence is a reflection of uncertainty on the tax reform, but i think in the next week or two we are going to have certainty and i would suspect that that number goes back up. Dagen what do you weigh here . If you look at the 10year treasury, we look at the yield all of the time. You have economies around the world that are booming and you have such a tight labor market, seems like our Bond Investors are wrong in terms of potential inflation on the horizon and the fact that the fed could raise Interest Rates a lot faster going into the new year. Well, look, i think you remain diversified here within equities you keep a balance of offense and defense, offense being the more sector such as industrials, basic materials, financial to a certain extent, but dont ignore consumer staples, dont ignore health care, have a balance, fixed incomes, one role to reduce volatility, do not stretch for yield either in duration or in quality, avoid junk and recognize that the income part of portfolio is there as anchor to reduce volatility because you are not getting much return. Maria once they get 20 , are companies more poised to buy more stock or hire more people . I think both. This is going to have bigger impact on corporate profit than it is the economy. It will have a positive impact on the economy but a bigger impact on profits and the reason is not much is being done on the individual side. Maria yeah. This economy is driven by the consumer. Maria is that a worry, though, not much done look what you just said, not much done by the individual side but its driven by consumer . I dont think youll have a situation where the economy overheats. One of the reasons we are in the longest or second longest expansion which i believe will turn into the longest expansion is at 2 growth, theres not enough growth to create excesses and excesses are what lead to the next recession, inflation, employment, misallocation of capital, at 2 its hard to have any excesses thence very long expansion, but if it starts to heat up to 3, 3 and a half, 4 particularly 9 years into an expansion, you could create excesses. Maria all right, we will be watching. Hank, great to get your insight. Stay with us. We will be right back. Maria thanks for joining us, happy friday. It is friday, december 8th top stories on the east coast checking the health of the labor market, jobs friday today, expecting 200,000 jobs to be added to the econ makes it easier to implement rate to hold steady at 1. 4 as economy, finding skilled workers particularly technology. A closer look at that issue, driving Global Markets in the European Union, the exit from the European Union paving the way for trade talks, futures show a rally at the start of trading, and honest real tie of the morning up 50 points as is the s p 500. Nasdaq balancing 1 2 . Looking at european indices the s p up one 12 45 , the dax index in germany up 11 4, gains in asia as well, nikkei average in japan, up 11 3 . Steve harvey is being sued saying oprah is to blame. One of the most anticipated movies of the year. The way to become what you were meant to be. Darkness rises and night to meet it. Maria we hear from the cast of the last jedi just one week before the movie theaters. We are taking a look at Silicon Valley and jobs. A shortage of 1 million stem workers by 2024. Engineers making an average starting salary of 100,000 will have their pick of jobs, an increasing number of Technology Start ups to attract employees, specializing in Engineering Data and design, cracked the code on recruiting engineers for Technology Startups, and joining us is tom fisher and david saad. Good to see you, thanks for joining us. Is that right . Tell us about the backdrop in Silicon Valley and where the opportunities are. A lot of demand for highquality software engineers, extremely hard to find, there are ways, and tech recruitment startups and ways to find good people for them, Beer Companies cant differentiate the startups. How did they compete against google and facebook. Great workplaces, flexibility, the pay, small tech startup against these guys seems impossible to get the best talent. Google and amazon in these companies, amazing to have pingpong tables and all these great perks but at the end of the day we are finding people want career growth, impact, challenge. They also want to have a company where they can go home and tell their friends i am changing the world. We work with a lot of health technology, education technology, Mission Driven companies, this is something millennials care about but in general tech workers, builders, they will not move the world forward. Dagen they want riches. Is that the basic question . You can work for google but google is already public and you dont have large ownership stake in it. Is that how you differentiate . This goes back to the first dot. Com bubble, you merely employed a slice of the company and that makes it attractive to them. Stock options can be very attractive. If something goes public, from the very beginning, certain engineers, the main thing we are seeing is we pull people out of the Bigger Companies and they are working on larger projects, to make an impact and stand out and grow with the company as it goes around funding and in larger customers. Maria how are you doing that . What do startups need to know to bring in the next generation . No longer interested in perks like pingpong tables, what are they interested in . Are you finding skill sets that are required to thrive in the economy . We are doing it through interesting proprietary technology, massively changed, and appropriate engineers to place them. And they were able to do that from the very beginning at the startups. And they are not working on infrastructure, early thoughts of what these are doing. Maria how do they get a job in Silicon Valley . Coding is very important, open Source Technology especially within the startups go a long way. And and many people do different jobs. Thanks to a lot of technology. Maria and icicle and skip college, that is what you will do. And then try to start your own company. Dagen save the money. More and more kids are coding, my family friends, kids are seeing coding, angry birds, why not have kids take part in that . It is so vital, we are a recruiting company, we have a fantastic engineer who sat down and said what do you do on a daytoday basis . How do you store data . Every company is going to become a tech company. Maria are they teaching coding in high school . Dagen a lot is selftaught. They study learning when they are 8. 5, 8, 10, 12 they start to learn how to code and engineer on their own with their friends. Maria if you havent learned yet that is the technique. A number of boot camp programs where people have professions and other industries and wants to get into software engineering, two months of courses and all of a sudden they get a pretty good job. Dagen we are all about jobs. Maria trying to identify what you need to do to thrive. Thank you very much. Stay with us, foxbusiness is having a special coming up, join us for special coverage this morning on where the jobs are right now. Youtube wants to take on spotify, revamping music streaming, details back in a minute. Maria futures indicator rally, down the street at 40 points, nasdaq, s p 500. Google shares up 30 in the past year. This budget is for tesla. Anheuserbusch placing one of the biggest orders yet, the new semitruck mother maker of budweiser announcing yesterday it would buy 40 of the new trucks, tesla shares up 1 2 in premarket. Comedian steve harvey being sued for allegedly stiffing a fundraiser. Lauren simonetti has details. Tm the reporting he is getting sued by a man he hired to raise 20 million for their foundation. He was supposed to pay a commission, didnt pay all of it. Coming up in the lawsuit, pretty terrific stuff. He says he said the big investor meeting up with steve harvey and others and in that meeting with the investors steve harvey said Oprah Winfrey and tyler perry are to blame, they gave me really bad financial advice. He goes on to say that meeting i had earlier this year with the president of the United States, they were talking how steve harvey could help in inner cities, it was Barack Obamas fault for sitting that meeting up. He is playing the blame game. We have a response from his agent, this is what mister frank said. It sounds fake, steve is the most loyal guy in the world, i have never been stiffed on a commission from steve harvey in 21 years. Maria dont know what to say. We dont know the advice oprah and president obama were saying, hard to see where he is going with this. It is based on the lawsuit, he said she said. Another lawsuit, steve harvey x exwife suing him for 60 million for murdering her soul. Dagen family feud with steve harvey is awesome. I will watch it all day long. He certainly makes the headlines whether it is miss america, you never know, we will be watching it. We had a good week on mornings with maria. Look at the top moments of the program. One step closer to a sweeping tax overhaul to the president s desk in the next two week markets rallying as a result of Senate Passage on saturday morning. Support acrosstheboard tax cuts, Corporate Tax cuts, i support repatriation. It is essential to lower tax rates. However, to do it at the expense of new york, new jersey and california, redistribution of wealth. To get a corporate rate of 20 , they need expensing for five years to get Capital Funding explosion in the us. The house and senate to get it done will get it done. Democrats have no ability to stop what i think will be a tremendous shot in the arm to our economy and the tax bill. The American People will take credit for improving the economy over politics any day. People cannot deny what is happening in his country, unemployment at an alltime low in 17 years, stock market and alltime high, 1 million new jobs created by this president , tax reform on the 1yard line so i people are finally saying we cant deny this president is doing an incredible job. If you deliver news, quote, news, erroneous, incorrect, false news maybe you dont have a wildly partisan individual cheering the demise of the presidency and screaming lock him up, kicking up her heels like this. People like joy are rooting for the president to fail and we are seeing it a lot in hollywood and delete. Maria the us will recognize jerusalem as the capital city of israel and the us will eventually relocate the us embassy to jerusalem from tel aviv. This is a Campaign Promise one administration after the next made. Every president violated it even though instinctively they knew this was the right move on. That he would get criticized for following through on a Campaign Promise makes people wonder what the motivations are, a terrorist organization like hamas criticizing it is on the right track. Maria michael next life is ruined, Hillary Clinton lied. Had the benefit of counsel, she appeared for an fbi interview at the end of the investigation and many of her answers were in the neighborhood of i dont recall, i dont remember. Lets be clear what the law is. Of these conversations occurred after donald trump was elected and we now know what 5 of them, general flynn and ambassador they were lawful and normal. Maria from the 17,000 goldplated phones to particular iphones that have been converted into spinners we have seen them all. Now working phone is a fidget spinner, you can be on the phone and do this. This Stocking Stuffers a good gift, they replaced the phone for a lot of people but a lot of them saying absolutely not. I believe it is important to support the people that serve our country. Couldnt be more dagen coffee to two of my Close Friends and two beers. Maria congratulations on your success. Country music has changed. Maria how has it changed . They had reached terms from briggs it brexit. As you have all seen it has not been easy for either side. We set a said the deal was within reach. It has represented a significant improvement. Based on the implementation of the agreement paved the way. We are breaking down of the compromise coming down this morning. In asia overnight markets closed higher the best performer was a japan and hong kong did well as well. Devastation in california continuing this morning. Thousands have evacuated as wildfires rage a control. Governor jerry brown asks for help as firefighters do everything they can two battle this unprecedented blaze. President trump pratt dash travels to florida today. That race happening next week. In pensacola florida. It kicks off tonight at 8 00 p. M. Eastern. The trip comes amid a shakeup on capitol hill. They file harassment claims. And bit coin bonanza the currency falling this morning but not after climbing to 40 in 24 hours. Great to see you. Its probably as volatile as the underlying commodity itself. A 40 increase in 40 hours. Anybody who has been saying that its wrong. Is the best gambling you can get. Many of the economic advisers and analysts were sourcing get out of it. Just over the last few days and then it took off. Some of the smartest people in the world said get out of it. When theyre predicting words where its good to go. Then you got a problem. This cannot end well. So far were watching it this morning. Roy moore is facing off against Democrat Doug Jones in alabama. He is skipping the heart of dixie. Went to bring in the former doj officials your reaction ahead of this. Certainly for for children across the United States who are victims of abuse. Be supported by the Republican Party in the u. S. Senate bid. Thats part of the problem here. Of a situation where people who deny allegations of getting a free pass. I think that causes a real problem. Validates what they say to their victims. When he has done something similar. There are allegations out there. Twelve different women have come forward. You troubled on the other side of the aisle by al franken who stood up in front of his colleagues yesterday i think i wouldve been cleared by an ethics investigation. They essentially said i didnt do anything wrong. Others i remember very differently but he has been drummed out of dc by this. They see the political benefit. The stories that are being told is not what i remember happening. He resigns i think its a little bit of a cynical way to look at it. Its political. Lets be clear whats really important here is that we need to create a real culture of respect for women not just in optics but in action. That is a big part of what yesterday was about. Making sure they feel comfortable in the workplace all over the country. What yesterday was really about was making sure that people feel like we are really taking action. This is an issue that is really important to us. Here is what al franken said yesterday and he said in the coming weeks. Listen to this. Some of the allegations against me are simply not true. Others i remember very differently. Im aware that there is some irony that im a living while a man whos bragged on tape about his history of Sexual Assault sits in the oval office. Why is he saying i will step down in the coming weeks. He is right that there has been an effort he has bragged about Sexual Assault. And youve got a person running for the u. S. Senate i think its really devastating not only them but you have if they are installed this is the mistreatment of women. Thats exactly how they treated anybody that worked here. It was a partisan issue that was only conservative. I think theyre playing a game without franken. They need him to step aside to move to the background. Try to we have to get to the next issue. House republicans are looking to get answers. He contacted the retail firm responsible for the socalled anti trump dossier. Take a look at house judiciary member. Grilling him yesterday during his testimony on capitol hill. Watch. He helped produce and present the application to sicker to secure a warrant was someone within the trump campaign. Was he involved in taking it to the court. Im knocking to discuss in the sending anything to do with the pfizer core applications. It has been recorded that all dressed up and presented as a legitimate intelligent document it became the basis for granting a warrant. Im wondering if it actually took place. It sure look like it did. Obviously we know that it was used as the justification to spy on donald trump. I think what you seen here. Its important to remember that the firm was initially hired by a conservative publication in people within Hillary Clintons campaign. I think this is all happening in a much broader context. Its obviously fraudulent. Will you admit that moeller and his team. Its come to light they need to investigate that dossier how it was put together. How the fbi used it. Was that why they open the investigation. Isnt that part of it. I think it is appropriate to ask for as much information as possible. When we are talking about the bias of a person. I have heard it from conservative outlets particularly in the recent weeks bob mueller was a person who was above reproach. How can we investigate his former colleagues at the fbi. How come or just are just learning out that the agent that was sending the anti trump text to his girlfriend how are we just learning about him now. He actually interviewed Hillary Clinton. He actually changed the language. James comey called it a matter a matter instead of a criminal investigation. The fbi has been completely politicized. What i have a problem with as this investigation has picked up a seam you are seen in this investigation move forward and i think its really problematic that as a guilty pleas guilty pleas from people like Michael Flynn come forward there is a concerted effort to discredit a person like robert molly. Dash mike robert mueller. Im not can have you besmirch the fbi. If, is part of the problem you are investigating your own friend. Thats an issue. He was chosen by President Trump. To raise the issue is there a conflict is not offbase. I think a concerted effort to besmirch the honor and integrity who was universally understood to be above reproach. I think is an honorable individual. He is universally respected. Pensacola florida lets stay with foxbusiness. We were jobs report coming up. More on the catastrophic wildfires ravaging california. The governor is asking the president for help. More than 400 structures have been destroyed in Ventura County alone. It could last for weeks. Will carr is on the ground life in Ventura County right now in Ventura County. As a sun comes up we are still a facing dangerous conditions in this area. It is filled with smoke. The fire is still very down on this community we had been on the frontlines and take a look at what weve been seen these flames have raced down the hillside into the past couple of minutes. You can see that they are eating everything in their path. The reason this is such a concern is because on the side of the Pacific Coast highway u of a number of beach homes you can see just how close all of these flames are. The firefighters on the other side sprayed these down trying to do everything that they can. To protect to this community. We are getting the numbers in one hours time and we have a special coverage around the november jobs report. Driving Global Markets of this morning. Money moving into equities. In asia overnight. The best performer as japan and hong kong. Upgrading your hotel experience. From the television to the temperature. President trump rolling back more regulations. What you need to know before buying your next ticket to fly. An ugly twist. The christmas craze is a bizarre design and going viral the story is coming up this morning. All that coming up this morning and topping the news. Thats how one expert described the economy. Where about one hour away from that november jobs report. The Unemployment Rate would hold steady at 4. 1 percent. She called it the way it is. Stephanie, good to see. What you expect. You have that one skepticism for a long time about this economy and you been right howdy a lot things right now. I think the consumer as my main focus and concern. If you can get 70 of the economy right youre probably going to get the bigger picture. We have nondiscretionary outlets growing at four and half year on year and wages growing at 2. 3. Its can be really important to look at the wage part of it to see whats happening there. You are seen clear evidence that people are having trouble keeping up in the aftermath of the crisis consumers worked really hard to build a savings. In the last year theyve really taken down a lot of that. It is going up and the lack luster wages. And now theyre they are increasingly turning to debt. And shows another big increase in the light of lot of that debt is becoming more delinquent these are all reasons for concern. Thats why i continue to be so worried about the structure of the tax bill with all of the focus on the corporate side and not as much on the consumer side. I agree with you that that part of the plan is very muddy. 70 of federal taxes are paid by the top 10 . If they really do cut individual taxes than they are subject to the charge of the rich versus the poor. I cant get into the whole political pr of this. Because that is really the problem. Youve got a cut taxes on the people that pay them. As we talked about last time that top 20 spent more than the bottom 60 . Youre not really accomplishing anything if youre not giving them a tax break. Theyre going to get a tax hike many of them. Its fine if youre good to keep taxes of the same but dont raise taxes on the people that are responsible for generating incremental growth in the economy the problem has not been that the Corporate Tax rate was too high with the same tax rate in the late 90s and it grew 9 a year on average. Cutting the Corporate Tax rate is not going to get them to go out and spend. We saw announcements in the last couple of weeks from apple, cisco, coke pfizer all suggesting that when they get the tax cut they are more likely to continue to lavish shareholders. Do you think the tax cut could stimulate some growth with the Small Business community. That may be some of the job growth and wages. Also with the low unemployment. To think that might really create more jobs and add to some wage increases. We had that reduced regulation. We need to reform the Corporate Tax code. Im not suggesting that we should do that. Those Small Businesses are so i cannot run out and hire people if they cant sell more stuff at the end of the day. I think that is the main impediment. On top of it what i really worry about is that we go into 2018 with them preparing to strike the Balance Sheet by 420 billion that has massive and it could. On port. 4 percent on gdp for the year. It could take that much or more out of the economy. What is the biggest risk. In the last two recessions started when the bubble burst. Is the risk much faster growth and inflation gets away from us with wage gains or a fed that makes a misstep and we wind up in a recession they are tightening and we wind up in a recession. I heard one of your earlier gasps suggest that when you have a bubble in some area and they mentioned now investment. They did not acknowledge that. We talked about these numbers before but over the last year he added 5. 3 trade dollars in market cash. Is 47 times the growth and profits. Some massive increase in growth and earnings. The market melts down. You have the unwind of the bubble in financial assets. And that ends up compounding what is already that trend in the economy. Its 47 times what the profit picture was. Compare this. Sixty plus record highs. I think the fed making the misstep is the obvious and maybe thats why they yell is so low by the way the fed is meeting next week. And we are expecting them to raise rates. The big story is the unwind of the Balance Sheet. For every dollar they increase it there was 3. 60 of credit created in the system. If theyre gonna take it down by 420 youre talking about a most one and half a trillion if it works the same in reverse. Versus. 4 percent in fiscal stimulus on the economy. Im worried about that. Shes gonna make me eat these words. Individual. And about consumer spending. Im wondering, if congress is listening because you make really important points in terms of what you need to see in the economy and the tax plan does not reflect that. How do you sell it politically. Because they are already being demonized as making it out to the rich. Before they even presented the bill that was the argument. You need a really good pr agent to do this. You just made it very clear for everybody to understand. Why do they need some pr genius. You just did it. The problem with politics as we talk about the economy like its a bunch of stovepipes. He gets us into the situation where we talk about favoring one group or the other. During the commercial break. Wages. You want to see wage growth in this. Thats my number one focus. We have to see the income gap filled between the andy nondiscretionary. Whats an appropriate number that we should be looking for. We had been averaging two tenths. If we can do three tenths is 1999. Our comprehensive jobs in america coverage begins in about 15 minutes. We identify where the jobs are and what wages are doing now. Helton bringing hightech new features to hotels. Everybody knows alexa, siri and watson now the oil and gas industry is betting big on ai as well. A mere, great to see you. Thank you so much for joining us. Why is it so important and why has it grown as much as it has in every industry. Artificial intelligence for the first time allows us the ability to replicate the models of the human mind. Maybe not in complete terms but even and narrow terms the kind of thinking and Critical Thinking that human beings advance practitioners and many Different Industries employ aa gives us a way to automate that. In that sense its a replication of the human mind that has tremendous economic potential we saw with the invention of the steam engine. That led to an entire industrial revolution. Is going to completely overshadow anything that we have seen thus far. The energy space has 70 opportunities to employ it. In the traditional fossil fuel industry and algorithms for identifying better drilling sites with them predicting when machines might fail. All of this optimization capability that ai brings for onshore and offshore platforms. It can evaluate risk better than a single human practitioner scam. Weve had several offshore incidents in the past. Its very holistic. Its very broad and we today its working with bp and several other of the Major Companies that i cant mention the other names. But also for technology providers. This is real it is happening now. Its not theoretical. You have a terminator concern about the takeover. You of the economic have the economic concern which is ai it goes after whitecollar jobs. These are not just the muscle jobs. Youre optimistic about that. Why are you still optimistic so optimistic about our ability to adapt to that. First of all ai in militarys is can change the world. Ive written extensively about this. I think there is tremendous opportunities there. He who controls controls the world. And then beyond that there is also work in factories which is been robotic sized. Even in places like china where youve had lowcost labor traditionally. Large quantities of robots. Even faster than we are here in the u. S. That does take away at some of the lowend jobs. Even some of the high end jobs the reality is not every job that goes away well immediately get replaced with something else. I think theres a certain part of ai that will help people do their jobs better. You are talking about obviously oil and gas i run staffing business in oil and gas all the jobs went away now they come back. Do you think they will be eliminated . The same number of thats not something that they are saying that is revolutionary or new. I will say one important thing. Which is the real conversation is what are we going to do about the social contract. We see all of these things coming what are we doing about the social contract. Theyre many hundred 50 billion government spent. We did 1. 1 and in 2016 we accelerated that to the mass of 1. 2. Great to have you on the program this morning. En ics, youll get clear, actionable alerts about potential Investment Opportunities in real time. Fidelity. Open an account today. Good friday morning everyone. Happy jobs friday your top stories right now. Breaking news we had 30 minutes away from the november jobs report. Economists are expecting 200,000 jobs shall been added to the economy last month. Theyre expecting and the Unemployment Rate to hold steady. The news could add to an economic boom stocks continue to climb this morning on that boom. Theyre off the highs of the morning ahead of the jobs number. Showing a gain to gain a better than 25 points. Thats a gain of 30 points right now. In europe a brexit breakthrough. They had reached terms for the exit out of the European Union. It paves the way for future talks including a trade deal we break down the compromise coming up. Markets closed higher at the close. The hang seng was up better than 1 . Thousands of people evacuated in california as wildfires rate at a control. Its can cause the fire to be much less predictable. There can have to be very careful on their position when those transitions happen. We want people to be prepared to leave immediately. And making sure that you have your cart gassed up completely and you have your irreplaceable documents and valuables. Have a plan. The very latest as governor jerry brown ask for help from the federal government. They do everything they can to battle the unprecedented place. He is looking to help drum up support for republican roy moore in the alabama race. They will bring you coverage tonight. It kicks off at 8 00 p. M. Eastern. It is a shakeup. The details on pope francis is planning to change the lords fair. We have that story. The superstar is on the attack this morning all of the the stories coming up this morning. Dagen mcdowell. Welcome to the program this morning. Do you agree with the economic boom going on right now. Everything i look at points to the wills of common glamorous all of the self soft data is becoming concrete right now. They are afraid to lower taxes on the top earners. Why not cut taxes on the people who are paying taxes so you can get it moving a little bit more. I think they punish as much as they could. They did not live up to all of the rhetoric in eight years. I think stephanie is amazing but with respect to her perception of the consumer i could see a consumer out there who is becoming extra nearly confident company enough to go out there and start to spend money. Theyve a lot more room to spend money. No one talks about. Household servicing payments as a percentage of disposable income is at an alltime low. Its under 10 the height was 13 on the eve of the great recession. That means people have a lot more room. When they will use credit cards. Revolving credit at the highest jump all year long. A sign of confidence. When the state and local tax deduction. That potentially becomes a local economic story mayor deblasio is can have a financial crisis on his hands quite frankly. Its fundable. People can get on a plane and moved to a no income state tax like a florida there has been overwhelming evidence as a result of this exodus that hes expecting real estate prices on the high end drop 10 just pointed it out not putting more pressure on the highest earner. We want to get to details on the november jobs report. They also expect the Unemployment Rate to hold steady at 4. 1 that would be a 17 year low. Lets get the wall street journal in the take on this do those numbers jive with you. The numbers are pretty close to what weve got on our consensus. That is pretty Straight Fire forward if we get numbers on the consensus i think the market well really love those numbers. A hundred and 90,000 a month is a great number. The Unemployment Rate is like you said 17 year low. Its an economy and its sweet spot right now. If the Unemployment Rate falls below 4 does that actually put j foul and the tough position coming in next year think about what to do with Interest Rates. If it falls more than we are expecting it to fall. I think it does pose a challenge the consensus right now is three Interest Rate increases. The Inflation Numbers were so low. Maybe they will do two instead of three. People organize be doing for rather than three. It is going a little bit faster but its not one that is really looking to jack up Interest Rates very effectively. That is still really low Interest Rates. And as they would like twopoint out. The longterm Interest Rates are still very low even though the fed has been raising shortterm Interest Rates you saw the ten year yield under two and half percent. They may be have to raise Interest Rates a little bit faster. Inflation numbers are so soft. With not only unemployment being one of the most important indicators obviously Labor Participation is something we talked a lot about. What really are the most important indicators that youre looking for in this report today. I think the wage number is very important. We havent seen a big increase in wages so far in this expansion. The has been one of the weaker parts of weak parts of this expansion. Why is unemployment so low and not giving workers more bargaining power. I think were at a point now where we ought to start seeing that. I will be looking at these numbers when they come out at 8 30 and see whether it was 2. 4 percent in october. Lets see if that moves up. We want to see numbers closer to 3 . I will come back to the Inflation Numbers. They had been stuck. The people spending power is actually doing pretty well. Real wages. They are arising. We dont always get that kind of advice. Stay tuned because weve got special coverage coming up. The november jobs report is due out in 20 minutes. With this group in more looking at the numbers analyzing them and telling you exactly where the jobs are. We also wanted to look at this. The final push for the senate. This is right in the president s wheelhouse. Right in the strikes and where you are most likely to hit a homerun. Maria welcome back november jobs report due out 10 minutes time, expecting 200,000 jobs added to the economy last month, Unemployment Rate holed as it 4. 1 joining us this morning is barrons he hadto at large jack with sr. , Vice President head of Traditional Investments Group good to see everybody thanks so much for joining us we are on deck for this jobs report lisa what is most more from your standpoint from todays report . Well, literally expecting a solid if not moderate report key Inflation Numbers how average Hourly Earnings are moving up, we have some hope that that will start to see a bit of a pickup after a disappointing last month, but overall we are expecting a solid picture, so we are expecting nonfarm payrolls to come in, slightly legislator in an last month because you lose some hurricane effect that nonetheless followed you areing expectation Unemployment Rate to remain about the same. Maria jack what would be market mover here would it be wages . Would it had be what is priced in already what moves this market. Well if you look at that line, the blue line there, you see that unemployment has been pretty steady for no surprises there frankly job growth if you smooth it out over multiple months has been pretty z too 187,000 in 2016, average, is about 169,000 averaging this year so i go back also, like lisa to wages if you look at around 2014, when we went down below 5 1 2 , that is when we finally saw that much desired wage growth, not at it rate we with like at least moving in the right direction. That is what we want to see continue i would love to see that yellow line just spike upward today, with a nice big jump in wage growth would be that would be inflation but not too inflationary that would kind of be goldilocks Everyone Wants. Maria unemployment story continues to get better jobs are increased the market gets so tight, that pushes up wages, charles you have youve been noting economy doing so well you say one stock that illustrates this, the urban are, of the american economy. We discussed Consumer Confidence, it is 116 stores mostly in south 125 years ago beaumont, texas this stock was dead completely gone, this year up 164 reflection of Consumer Confidence particularly ruler states where President Trump won, they supported earnings furniture sales up 32 up 28 strongest up 21 home office 8 , the stock is because people in those areas confident enough to spend money. Sort of like Dollar General story, they dont get at a lot of headlines not big high profile plays show strength in the economy, and some places where you dont were not writing headlines not because in new york and ka have to pay more taxes california have to pay more taxes. [laughter]. Maria that is dagen, lets take a quick break when we come back being november jobs report on deck, going to move markets stay with us. Maria welcome back we have breaking just few minutes away from november jobs report breaking news economists looking for 200 now, jobs add it had o economy last month Unemployment Rate is expected to hold zb at 4. 1 , we want to check futures ahead of the report markets are rightly now, before numbers steady expecting gain 50 appoints ontario this morning, a gain 30 points on the nasdaq, Jon Hilsenrath, you are with us as well along with jack, final thoughts Jon Hilsenrath i know you focused on wages what about the Participation Rate still focused there . Well, you know, the Participation Rate is going to go down overtime accuse all boomers are retiring the fact steady a sign that people that are not aging, older people, are coming back into did labor force a good sign, i am watching Unemployment Rate today we talked about this earlier, if it goes below 4 , then that shows me an acadeecon on fire. What does that do to markets this is larger priced in or do you think markets react to a good number. Well, if we do have a good number actually may have a little bit of a selloff maim because i think that would cause fears it could lead fed into hawkish in 2018 really the report would have to be really strong for that to be happening generally i think mosting expectations the numbers are priced in. Interest rate telling us a different story than what we have been talking about this morning in terms of those of strongr economy. Dagen investors betting tax reform plan wont work for the economy wont juice it i am not watching for indication that businesses are responding to likelihood of tax reform like if you see the range of estimates on this jobs report, the high end is 261,000 jobs, if you are getting in that territory, about that could be an indication that businesses are ramping up, expecting tax cuts faster growth. Maria want spending sitting on skash so long. Plan for hiring Small Businesses, swear found historically very high levels up, cant find people to hire for jobs, so i think going to push wages up potentially more than expecting. Maria why we look at skill sets what you need to have, in order to thrive. Absolutely, i think i am expecting this reportedly will be pretty strong i would be surprised if it isnt based on demand from our customers that we see, but it really is about skill set i am glad you he thinks. I had it is quality of the jobs what are types of jobs that are coming back, and are people do they have the skills to get those positions . So i do think that is going to be important to watch today as well. Maria he we will. Betterthanexpected conversation strong the hourly wages up rate flat down market all down. Maria we want to be u6 down for sure, focused on wages, the number of crops created what this means, in terms of of where the jobs are across the country adam shapiro at labor the numbers right now obviously we are waiting on this report all morning, over to you. Reporter 228,000 jobs, that is how many jobs u. S. Economy added in november the Unemployment Rate, held z 4. Steady o october 261 to 244 now, september revised from 18,000, up to 38,000, neither gain 3,000 jobs Participation Rate, no clear, 62. 7 same as last month total unemployment 77 from 7. 9 average hourly wages up 2 10 year over year. 5 fed will Pay Attention next week, average workweek up slightly 34 toint 5 hours the number of parttimer workers 4. 8 million unhe thinks which a, gains professional and business up 46,000 manufacturing up 31,000, positions, health care up 30,000, noeflt doctors offices Outpatient Ambulatory Services retail had been down negative 2. 2, 2000 jobs last month in november up 18700 jobs, contradiction, up 24 dhou, Financial Services up 8,000, to repeat Unemployment Rate steady 4. 1 the number of jobs added 228,000 most of them in private sector 221,000, back to you. Maria this is a good number better than expected you say going to blow away 200,000 you were right. Get almost everything right except u6 i got to tell you good, talking about heartland of America Manufacturing 31,000 construction 24,000 also the retail story talk about macys stock up 32 since early november hiring 7,000 holiday workers, you know so even the brickandmortar story is not completely dead, a arrival revival going on. The you have to be increased. I am progressively and business servicers 46,000 jobs we talked about quality the sector you will see higher level positions you wont see it in wage number in this report, because this report is just the hourly wages, most of those positions are salaried but i can tell you, from if front lines we are seeing wages move on salaried positions because the market is so tight, so i think overall this is a really great report. What would have liked wages a little bit higher but great to see growth in manufacturing construction that is strong to charless point heartland of the country, ares i couldnt agree more. October he revised lower this is 86th straight month job growth. A good story for a while continues to be good story wages i am disappointed im sorry that number continues to disappoint. Up 2 1 2 . You are right not you wanted 2. 8. Expectations have changed talking 2 1 2 as good i think makes it easier for fed 4. 1 number i dont think this is going to change fed movers from next year, jon caulking about four instead of three i think three with this number probably good news for the market. What you looking at. Overall economy, that is on a rocksolid footing, going into the new year, and it cant it can only be helped by a tax reform package, that gives an incentive to businesses in this country large and small, to keep on hiring but that to charles. 2 1 2 wage gains yearoveryear could be better again not if worsening there, you saw, the really strong job creation, in really kind of heartland of this economy manufacturing, and construction, manufacturing came in almost double the number of jobs created there 31,000 economists were expecting. Services. Very hard to find anything negative in this report. Anything whatsoever. What is with information jobs down 4,000 . I dont know information jobs, down 4,000 see what that is, the wage gains not what you want, Jon Hilsenrath up 2 10 of a percent, average Hourly Earnings. Well, you know, like i said before, when you adjust wages for inflation they are actually not that wad real, arise people have money in pockets, to spend, i think we have to call this report what it is this is a goldilocks number, you know more than 200,000 on payrolls is really good. And Unemployment Rate near 4 is really good real wages are rising the fed isnt going to get too upsets about this jack up Interest Rates a lot faster than people expected, you know, as dagen said this is economy on rocksolid footing it is ring really well not too hot, not too cold, 86 straight months job gains is really i am not seeing much to complain about here. Maria i love it i love it lisa markets moving on this number now a gain 60 points on dow industrials, markets clearly reacting to this would you put you new money to work here in equities are you telling clients to do just that. We are overweight in equities we believe u. S. Markets as well as nonu. S. Developed markets are positive the reason you are seeing markets react is all the other is a very nice number so youve got strength in the economy, as a shone by the underlying good gains continued in nonfarm payrolls that inflation number came in not quite as high as some of us would have liked still very solid footing remained 2, to 2 1 2 percent range quitetime 2. 5 today i think that is good if the labor market continues to be strongly as it is, then we will eventually see that move up a little bit more. Maria okay, lets talk about where jobs are, joanie you know every job numbers i ask you where sectors i also want to ask geography talking about this tax plan, perhaps an exodus out of high tax states where in the country are the jobs states . The biggest need right now, we see, certainly is in the south, and southwest. Those are probable some of the strongest areas for demand in growth, to be real specific, the phoenix market is extremely strong, texas tremendous amounts of job options all sectors all industry, industries, charlotte great market seeing people moving to charlotte a lot of millennials kind of migrate to go charlotte lot of new jobs great economy tremendous growth atlanta continues to be very strong market as well you look at northeast there is a Strong Demand for the financial jobs coming back, professional jobs in new york. 150 million so more skilled high level positions coming back construction, great to see construction, coming back, and i will mention obviously about from temporary staffing industry those jobs have been continuing to grow, this month, 18,000, of the jobs created, about were in temporary staffing that continues to be a very strong area i know personally our business, you know is really very strong from demand from commerce, some times people dont like those jobs but those jobs provide greet opportunities for american historically harbinger of things to come make it permanent. Absolutely when uncertainty what is going to happen with tax reform, Companies May decide you know, i will use temporarys right now then maybe in new year convert to permanent jobs gives employers flexibility in workforce, and, you know, when they feel a little bit more confident they may convert jobs. Maria Market Reaction up 70 points right now. I think you jon hit it on headed pointing out a goldilocks number because not quite good enough that we have to see four Interest Rate hicks one thread that runs through a lot of numbers is the gword globalization part of the reason we havent seen inflation creep up other countries china particularly exporting deinflationary forces. The bond undermines Interest Rate compared to europe or japan investors there want if i could income applying u. S. Bonds keeping lid on rates here that is keeping a lid on wages. Because we are in a Global Economy the reality you can get cheaper labor overseas, it is just tough for american workers. 2. 5 is okay. We with like that up, of course, and im not sure what levers to pull to do that, on the other hand sitting on cash a long time they havent had it we need to find a way to spike dplan. This is a very good report. To jons point healeammers there every time on program you see Consumer Confidence in 17year high in part wage growth muted they still have decent spending power, because inflation is muted that keeps peoples spirits elevated despite globally growth story we have been talking about japan, longest sustained economic expansion in 16 years, europe, the entire world essentially growing in sync we have also a u. S. Economy, that is extremely strong, and the average person is feeling it individuals are feeling it particularly Small Businesses you look at that retail jobs number this month, 18700 jobs, in retail, these are big the amazons wall marts of the world every store i go in a chain or whether individually owned i always ask them, how is business, tell me what it is like, and a lot of Small Business here and in south, they might have experienced a slow black friday weekend werent offering discounts but feeling a Strong Economy and traditional and individual and people spirits are high. You have to believe this tax cut for Small Business, is going to capture a them even more i recognize the effect of at any rate for large corporations may be or an that 20 , or may be higher but Small Business paying 40 thursday they are about to get 25 administrators going to capture a them. It is. Increase in a they have got accountants on phone talking to accountants what is in have bill as it changes does it had move Conference Committee what is in it for me they will once they once they get a final read, what they will react, they will hire they will try to think about expansion plans, again just the anticipation of it. Will immense. Planned hire so high for Small Business owners you cant discount that is going to show up in future numbers especially i think wages. Rock n roll on markets 82 points higher dow industrials Nicole Petallides on floor of New York Stock Exchange we have been watching this what do you say. Highest levels of the morning, i mean one trader said like a reason i away train on the tracks, go, it is a machine cranking it out, they are loving what they are seeing we got latest jobs report right before it came out i took a peek dow futures up 49 points now dow futures up 81 points this comes out with a betterthanexpected number here great report and dont forget this is the first accurate report of the labor market since the hurricanes that 4. 1 level of unemployment, that actually is lowest level 17 years, wages are showing strength and growth, the fed meets next week, ing. Hike next week may be just right we will see what they say about Going Forward in the future but big picture they are loving numbers here, today, and were going to see whether or not we can snap it move this back to a positive week because last friday the dow closed 24231 with this move a weekly gain instead of a weekly loss so we watch for that, too. Maria thanks so much, charles you got to watch, this they have got to walk this i ins everything looks greet higher railts next week a couple likes in new year as dagen pointing out that wind down of the Balance Sheet. It is tricky, but not from left field they telegraphed pretty well not forget when janet yellen made that miscue two decemberings ago raised rates to prove tail wasnt wagging her socioto speak market worse the two, we in history for stock market i think a message to fed not just janet yellen but predecessors will say you know what, you know be careful, they heard the message allowed and clear i think engineer aem p jerome paul is very heart wall street is okay with rate hikes as long as economy is humming. Jon hilsenrath before you go economy seems humming you thinked if is going to be able to maneuver that not choke off this strength as soon as it gains traction. I leave you with two final thoughts, one is if i am jay powell worded about overheating right now a goldilocks number if markets keep soaring real estate keeps soaring where is next bubble i am a little worried about that what do you do about that, but one last thought, numbers suggest to me that weve got Something Like 3 growth 4th quarter three straight quarters 3 growth we havent had that in this expansion positive note three straight quarters 3 growth a pretty good place for the economy to be right now lets just hope it doesnt overheat cause another bubble. Absolutely thanks for engine sites always a pleasure have a good weekend Jon Hilsenrath wall street lisa where do you want to allocate tacts are you changing allocation result of this number fed in play next week and beyond in 18 . I think a nice confirmation of current stance we are reviving clients to have that modestly overweight u. S. Equities number u. S. Tweld equities steering away from if i could income these kinds of numbers support for continued investments, in the stock sector, and again, with the fed hikes we are not expecting anything unusual, but that being said, fixed income valuations really low despite fact Global Investors plying into our fixed markets overall not the attracted from Historical Perspective we could stay pat with stans pleased with the number what the doctor ordered. Can i ask how hot itself too hot versus Economic Growth we talk three straight quarters 3 as jon was highlighting seems crazy good except for the fact it is case we didnt get 3 annual growth in any one year, during the entire obama administration, and even a couple years before that. So how hot is too hot . For the economy . Yeah. You know we believe that the economy can stay in this range maybe slightly higher we are really going to be okay most signs show we are in steady growth state if we look at Global HealthEconomic Indicator both in u. S. And other supporting markets, we are in a really nice status quo, the majority indicators in expansion or recovery territory, we have had a few that are a little slower so doesnt seem to be showing any signs of overheating, that means that i think you raised a good point really if risk here is an economy that is stronger than anyone expects and if that happens, i think we could actually have a market selloff because they are going to be concerned about a more hawkish fed. How significant a selloff. Those things are hard to say, always going to depend on numbers, but you know that is probably the outside risk i think consensus not expecting. A point america is growth super duper. That is what i am talking about. What happened to us . What the heck is going on here. We have not asked dagens question in years how hot is too hot i havent heard that question in years i like that kind of question. Because we learned. The celebrate, fine but 3 growth weve got to choke it off are you kidding me getting warmed up. I think regardless of your political affiliation people at beginning of this year, thursday finally realizing, you know what . The government doesnt make the best decisions about my live my business my money. Like because that is what it we had a 8 years of people telling us you just you let me be clear, you dont understand. I make better decisions about your life. Maria are how do you and, the fact weighs on people. The loans the minority businesses Small Business loans where charles. 9 billion a record sba loans through the roof it is you empowered by 50,000 or less an amazing year, things are going well people dont have but enjoying it i think he will start to act appropriately. Dagen if you are a Business Owner whether a big business or a Small Business, and you make decisions, based on whether you like the guy in white house or not, then you are that is you there you go, november jobs report after short break we got it going on right here back in a minute. Maria welcome back, november jobs report out economy added 228,000 jobs in month of november, the sxpgs Unemployment Rate steady 4. 1 disappointment here is that wages are not growing as fast as you want to see, bring in Varney CompanyStuart Varney, looking at numbers as well good morning, stu. Is that your only disappointment. I dont have look i think this economy is rocking and rolling i havea i dont have a lot of disappointment i like what i see. Exactly in line with charles dagen off and running, with just getting starting, the economy is already growing at 3 rate you chuck in tax cuts maybe infrastructure plan next year i think you are looking at 4 growth next year, this is a prelude to that, manufacturing where is it 31,000 manufactures jobs wellpaid jobs for 31,000 up 228,000 in total, i dont see what is wrong i really dont i think solid, i think sets groundwork for 4 growth next year a wild predictions i will stick with us. Goldman sachs expecting 4 Global Growth next year so is barclays but global we have seen europe u. S. Have a good summer rest of the world japan as well. With ach the roadblocks i could have extraneous black swan accident disappeazaps us a scene has been set for voluntarilyid growth, better growth solid profits now better profits next year a huge stock market rally already, maybe another leg to come. Maria yep. I dont see what is wrong with this economic picture i put this down to donald trump this is the trump growth agenda that is working for the economy and working for market. Maria i agree had an incredible year when you look at economic stuff that is for sure stu see you 10 minutes. You will, thank you. Six minutes Stuart Varney top of the hour after mornings with maria jack final thoughts before you go probably, i mean is that a disappointment just the wage growth . It is a little bit of a disappointment, but the barrons economic the personal consumption is up 1. 6 to translate means that wages are keeping ahead of inflation that is good nice, to answer the question posed by charles kind of hinted that just then the reason that 3 growth is actually decent is because we are a mature economy not bad economists frankly there i 3 is about as high as we go, long term, for an economy like this one, with aging baby boomers, you look at japan europe, way ahead of them they have a similar demographic profile emerging markets much younger half what it is in japan a faster growing xhooi. Dagen we big yards houses in this country we like to buy stuff. That makes us different than europe and japan. Maria we buy the stuff from europe japan emerging markets. Dagen i predicted a lot of cars that are filling Good Samaritans manufactured here right in United States, and a lot more goods a lot more manufacturing as you witness inned jobs report jobs being created things being made here in United States. Havent seen for years move jobs back to america. I am not sure why fed has red flags gdp gruth we are not as old as europe and japan i understand the demographic argument the why raise red flag at 3 . Almost no inflation. Lisa is there any group you would would i hewould i avoid here. If we look at sectors oefl we think that it is still a nice growth story so some of the rescue towards technology and some of the interesting consumer stocks are good, but weve got a case with this number solid growth with some interest in actually the more cyclical sector certainly fjz. Thanks for joining us back with this panel on set when we come back. Maria great economy. That is the bottom line. Good numbers. Looking good. Maria have a great weekend on everybody. See you on monday. Here is stuart and Varney Company. Stuart i will take it, maria. Looks like a few gifts may have come early. Good friday morning everyone. Last month our economy created 228,000 new jobs. The Unemployment Rate remains at 4. 1 . Workers are flooding back into the labor force. Sum it up, please. We have better than 3 growth rate, we have a fully employed economist. Were spending big for the holidays. It is called i believe a return to prosperity and the market recognizes that. The hope of even better growth in the future moving stocks prices up this morning. Tax cuts kick in soon. There is spending deal and brexit deal
