Pub Dog (pubdogcolorado.com) pioneered the dog park/bar concept locally four years ago on Bott Avenue. The spotâs still barking strong, with weekly breed-specific meetups, trivia nights and more. But it will soon see some competition â if a 15-mile distance away can be considered that â in the form of
Fetch Park (fetchpark.com), opening this winter off Interquest Parkway.
Fetch launched in 2018 in Atlantaâs Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, with three more Atlanta locations coming this year, plus one in Columbus, Georgia, and Nashville, and this Springs spot. As renderings remain in the design phase, there are no details yet on the size of Fetchâs minor league baseball-inspired, off-leash, turf field, but a PR rep for the project says itâs âbig.â The facility will also feature cooling stations, a doggy bath area, shaded seating, TVs and a modified Airstream bar. Events will include live music, movie and stand-up nights. Fetch also employs âBARk Rangers,â and though itâs free for all people, pups require memberships (or $10 day passes), and owners must supply proof of vaccinations and spay/neutering â safety and animal well-being being the top priority, says the rep.
