Barker, Broome County — Four people were injured when a fire ripped through a charter bus on Interstate 81 this afternoon according to the New York State Police.
The bus, which had 42 people on board, was taking passengers from Long Island to Syracuse, troopers said.
A state trooper traveling north on the highway in the town of Barker just before 2 p.m. noticed the bus was on fire, troopers said. Barker is north of Binghamton.
