Five distinctions in matric, but no Identity document means no varsity

Layani Mkansi thought he would have the world at his feet one day after bagging five distinctions in the matric exams in 2021. But the 20-year-old, who would have qualified for medicine or engineering at university cannot enroll because he does not have an identity document.
